Hey, STalkers! It's been a long while since I posted a Throwback Thursday, so away we go.

I was talking with SD28 last night and she mentioned that she and BD want to get a summer vacation with their boys before school starts. And I'm thinking, "School?? Already?!" But July is two-thirds of the way over and school starts in a few weeks. Time is flying. (Someone forgot to tell me I'm having too much fun...) We got to talking about trips when we were kids (oy, I'm feeling OLD!) and SD asked me what my favorite trip was. Hard to narrow it down to one.

I commented on Futuro's blog yesterday and it got me thinking about how I've changed in the last 3 months. So while this is not a traditional Throwback Thursday, it's a throwback to how things were for me BEFORE the pandemic and I'm wondering if I will be able to easily return to the old Aniki...

PRE-Pandemic vs POST-Pandemic

PRE: I thought nothing of going to the grocery store every week or dropping in to grab something small: a forgotten ingredient, a craving, a treat for DH...

This has been a loooooong week. I've spent most of the day running here, there, and everywhere and am FINALLY sitting down. Unfortunately, I'm on a mucho boring conference call. HAVE to be on it, but cannot contribute to it. So.....

Throwback Thursday! Do you have any favorite Fall memories?

When I was a kid, there was one big thing we did in Fall: Fall Cleanup. That involved housecleaning AND cleaning up the yard.

Happy Thursday, STalkers! How about some memories of yesteryear and family Christmas when you were young?

Christmas tree: real or fake? Due to one sibling's allergies, we had a fake tree.

When did the tree go up/come down? Up the day after Thanksgiving. Down the day after Christmas. It looked naked without anything underneath.

Happy Thursday, STalkers! We're one day closer to the weekend. We're expecting a "snow squall" tomorrow and I am SO looking forward to it! Temps ranging from the teens to 32 means Aniki is a happy Finn!

Playing outside in the cold definitely means I'll need a hot beverage. If we're going to be out for awhile, we take a thermos. Otherwise, we tromp back into the house, strip off our wet clothes, put on something warm and fuzzy, and brew up some warmth.

Halloween (All Hallows Eve, Samhain) is 6 days away. Some folks hand out candy. Some go to parties. Some stay home, turn off the lights, and watch scary movies. When I was in my teens and early 20s, we luuuuved going to haunted houses.

What do you miss from the past?
