OT - Eff Off Friday

Aniki-Moderator's picture

Certainly feels like Friday has taken its time getting here. I was thinking, "C'mon already!"

Eff off to:

  • not having the day after Thanksgiving off. Ugh. Hope it's quiet!

  • people who don't read the entire - SHORT! - email. It's three facking sentences. .
    "But I read it, Aniki."
No, Karl, you did not. If you HAD read all three SHORT sentences, you would know that #3 tells you what to do. Go back and read #3, you farking icehole

  • DH's work. He has to work OT tomorrow. We had plans to spend the day together and drive to "the big city" to do some shopping before the holiday madness begins next weekend.

  • people who issue party invites at the last minute and right before a holiday. NO it is not a holiday party. It's an anniversary party. I'd rather get a cavity filled than go socialize.

  • BioHo. I would not be surprised if 'Ho is behind SD23's "apology", but SD is 23. Stop trying to manipulate your adult children and the adult situations they get into. Let them bloody well adult and handle it themselves. They'll fly or they'll crash, but it should be THEIR flight/crash without a 'Ho-pilot.

  • I'm not trying to anger or upset anyone, but... suicide. One of my cousins died in a one-car accident. The suicide note was just found. He got married last year. Their baby is 2 months old. My heart breaks for his parents (my cousins), his wife, and the son who will never know him. Sad

I hope you have an enjoyable weekend, STalkers. Hold your loved ones close. You never know when it will be the last time.
Aniki

Hugs to you and your family, Aniki.
We all have crap going on, but it is amazing how insignificant it becomes in the light of death.

Eff off to:

* The cancer diagnosis my friend's 6 year old received.
Cancer sucks, but a 6 year old?
Eff off to that sh!t.

*My dog has a cold.
Dog snot and vet's bills!!
Both icky and need to eff off!!

Thank you, Letti. Death - especially a tragic one (IMO) - can certainly put things into perspective.

A 6yo??? OMG. Eff off to effing cancer! Prayers for that baby and her family.

Aw, I hope your furbaby is better soon.

My condolences to your family and yourself. Its hard to heal from that kind of blow - typically folks dont CHOOSE to leave, a car or gun, or illness makes that choice.

You and your family are considered "survivors of suicide". There are some really nice groups I reccomend, to help through all these conflicting emotions. PM me if you would like. Its really really hard, especially through the holidays. Holidays especially.

Depression does kill.

Again I am so sorry!

PS. Things are good I dont really have an eff off Friday. I guess eff off to what everyone here is currently going through!

Thank you, CLove. {{hugs}}

A friend of mine's son committed suicide 4 years ago. On Thanksgiving. In her home. In front of her, his girlfriend, and 12yo brother. I have the name of the group she and her surviving son used and have already passed it on.

New kitty has what I thought were new issues, but called the place from where I got her and there are extra "vet notes" they don't give you in the official record. So far as my vet and I can figure out she got surrendered around the time she got the injuries that are now coming back to haunt her. We think she was let out and attacked by an animal. There are puncture wounds under her fur that probably didn't get completely healed from infection and it flared. And her belly is distended and she cries out, the vet felt around and thinks she got hernias, probably at the time of the attack. So they probably cleaned her up and gave her antibiotics but didn't do much else, pet owner didn't watch her, and then the person just up and surrendered her. Poor thing has probably been in some sort of pain for the last six months (I've had her two). She's going in next week for scans and likely surgery.

DO NOT adopt unless you are willing and able to care for your pet!

Poor kitty!!! Hope she's better soon.

Bad pet owners make me mad. Too often, furbabies are adopted by people who want something cute and cuddly - who give little to no thought about the expense of owning a furbaby. Furbaby never goes to a vet, never gets shots (certainly is not spayed/neutered), gets crappy food, and - once the cuteness has worn off - little attention.

My niece-in-law's youngest daughter is a shite pet owner. To date, this twunt has adopted 3 dogs. Then she beeyotched EVERY TIME about the dog needing a walk or how expensive dog food is or that the dog was snapping at her. Let's see. You're an irresponsible twunt who is a shite mother that should never have had a kid (but sex is so much fun!). You scream and yell at your child and jerk him around by the arm when he doesn't move fast enough. Nice that you're teaching your kid how to BULLY people smaller than you are. So, NO, you had no business adopting a furbaby. Thank goodness they all have new homes.

Sorry to hear that Aniki. Suicide is painful in so many ways and for so many.

Aniki-Moderator's picture

Yes, it is. I don't know why, but it's bothering me most that his son will never know him. Sad

Eff off to my MIL and BM for conspiring yet again...

Eff off to health issues.

Eff off to co-workers who are dishonest and can’t get themselves together.
