My sister-in-law (I have 3, one of whom I cannot stand - this one is the only person from my in-laws side who bothered to call me when my mum died) lost her mother to cancer. Her mum will be sorely missed. She was a lovely, golden lady (golden tan, gold blond hair, beautiful smile, and a personality to match) that I was very fond of.

Eff of to all of this rain! Which, I normally love but am only halfway done staining my deck and it's going to rain for the next week or more. This is what happens when you procrastinate! Had I done this back in March or April, I could have worked more hours in the day and gotten it done. Instead, I've had to limit my staining to a few hours in the early morning, before it gets hot. The parts that are done look awesome, though.

My hairdresser is rescuing my hair after a year and half since last appointment and DH chop job during lockdown. *biggrin*

Aniki, pop those poor feet into some lukewarm water with epsom salts for a good soak. Additionally, try to keep your feet elevated whenever possible; higher than, or on a level, with your heart. Works for me when my feet swell in the horrible heat and humidity. Like today!

Eff off to people who rehome their sweet baby right from under you. We have been looking to rescue/rehome a specific breed of dog for quite some time. Well, we finally found one and reached out the same day, within hours, of the post being made. We communicated back and forth AND had a Zoom meeting to get to know each other and see the dogs temperment and whatnot. All went well and then the owner asked us to meet him in person on Sunday. We agreed and setup a time and place near her home, an hour from where we live. She did let us know that one other couple was interested, but she would not make a decision until we also had a chance to meet the dog. She did not give us a chance, and let the other couple take him today. My DH and I are so upset.

Personally I have no Effs as we are on vacation visiting relatives at the moment...with A/C and a lovely B&B for a night.

However the temperature is soaring way way way above norm. Scary hot. We're traveling back home super early in the AM soon and worried about kitties and fires. Going to do some emergency non-A/C measures once home. Ugh. At least my cat sitter is great!

Well, this week I have some:

- Eff off to not setting my alarm this morning and oversleeping! 

- Eff off to the forest fires south of us. Its going to be a long hot dry dangerous season.

- Eff off to the wedding Im going to today that I am not prepared for that DH is going to be a groomsman in. I know that I should have been better prepared and just blew everything off - the hair appointment, nails, clothes, gym...just feeling stuck in the rut of not taking care of myself this week.

To Chef's "helper" who is basically a drug addict and runs hot and cold.  He was doing ok helping side the second duplex for about a couple of weeks and now he wants more money and doesn't want to work although his work has been inconsistent over the last month.  File under it is hard to find good help.

Eff off to cataracts and having to wear solely wear my glasses until I get my surgery in mid-July.
