Munchkin SD13 in Quaran-teen
Well, things have escalated quickly, in my area. Schools in three neighboring counties have closed - through the end of March.
I texted Munchkin. 2 of her friends threw up and so did she.
Shes in good spirits, Toxic Troll has some cash (workmans comp payout...last alimony payout) and I gave her reminders of how to wash her hands and clean and sanitize. I told her we will definitely miss her but suggested facetiming or video chat. ALthough thinking about it - at her mother's 1 bedroom place, that would expose us to Toxic Troll. So I probably wont push it forward too strongly.
Im thinking of all the projects and things to do during this time. That book Ive been wanting to finish reading. That book Ive been wanting to finish writing. The back yard. The front yard. The jewelry making, clothes mending, learning to play chess and poker.
We have a big enough house, especially with Munchkin gone...
What are your thoughts? Am I being to paranoid and panicking overly?

I don't think you are being paranoid. There is nothing wrong with being cautious.
Our area
People are between panicking and not at all worried. But nowhere is toilet paper to be found, and stores are going out of stock on all manner of things, lines out costco and wallmart are HUGE.
Also of note, our area is a big tourist destination. For Asians, and also we have jus 1 rinkidink hospital and no one seems at all prepared...
Just got paid, so will be stocking up on some things.
I think everyone is feeling
I think everyone is feeling the exact same way. It makes sense because we're getting such mixed information and nothing definitive. All you can do is be cautious and do exactly what you said. Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently, don't touch your face, stay away from crowds and don't touch other people or share food. Also, I haven't seen this being talked about but I think it's worth mentioning, but keep yourself physically healthy for your immune system too! Get plenty of good quality sleep, take your multi vitamins, eat healthy foods.
ALSO: Amazon sells toilet paper!!!!! I just ordered a box of 80 rolls for $49!
I think it's okay to be
I think it's okay to be scared, but be realistic to what we are facing. Also stop reading or listening to any new media because it's going to blow everything way out of proportion.
I hate that people are hoarding like it's the end times and being horrible people to those who are in need. I had to legit order toilet paper from a damn office supply company (yes we legit neeeded it we were out) I mean come on!! Where did it say in this whole pandemic "be prepared your a$$holes are going to be destroyed!!!!" Idiots!
