FDH is telling SD7 about engagement this weekend
And I'm super-nervous!!!
I'm traveling for work this week so we thought it would be a great time for the two of them to have some quality daddy/daughter time and he's going to tell her about the engagement. I don't imagine she will think strongly about it one way or another but who knows? Although our day to day life won't change, he wants her to know that we've made a commitment to each other. She and I are getting along so great and I hope there is no backlash. BM is aware and on board. She sent a congratulations email which I thought was nice. I'm sure it can't be easy, even when you know that the former relationship is over to have your ex move on,
I hope SD is excited or at the least indifferent about the news.
Anyone else with experience telling young children about remarriage?

You can check out my blogs,
You can check out my blogs, FDH and I got engaged this summer. FSD and I get along great which was why it was so hard when she cried. Remarriage ( unless the children are super young) is the death toll for their parents ever getting back together. She may love you, but it is still hard for them to give up their fantasies. After I posted stepaside commented that we should have done it together, so we are seen as a team, we did ours like you are planning. You won't know till it happens. Best of luck and congrats!
