So, there hasn't been too much drama lately. Everyone is getting along really well the last month. I do think it's because I have really, really backed off a lot, disengagement at it's finest.

We've had some big stuff going on too:

* DP's dad will pass in the next day so he had to leave very quickly with little planning. He'll probably be gone almost two weeks which will put us to the start of spring break. Ok, wow. Just got a call that he just passed. DP will likely stay there at this point.

* His ex and I were able to email to coordinate SD's schedules. Due to late travel notice, there were several days she couldn't take them and one day they Really Wanted to be at Dad's house even if he was gone (!!). So that was done fairly painlessly although she took credit for the schedule I made. Whatever.

* I will have to fly with SDs to meet DP by myself. His dad lives in the same area we are vacationing at (and my family is there too). I am ok with this since they are really good in public. LOL.

* Yesterday I had to pick them up at school and had them for the night, took them to school this morning. They were fantabulous. Ready to go when I got there, great at dinner, said "thanks" and were appreciative. Did what I asked them to do when we got home and were out of their beds and ready to leave the house on time in the morning.
This is absolutely not the case when DP is around. He even said on the phone to me today, "They are really good with you when I'm not there." This is true.

* Our house purchase was approved, so we'll be moving in May, thank god. We discussed their rooms and I even told SD11 that she couldn't paint her room a certain way (very complicated process) and she was OK with that. I suggested an alternative and she seemed pleased (she can still use the colors she wants to).
