FSD11: Oh my god, diamonds!

ME: What?

FSD11: I told this boy he likes me and he . . . he likes me back!

ME: I'm not surprised girly. What happens in 6th grade when people have crushes?

FSD11: I don't know. Awkward hellos and waves.

... got told by this boy in her class he really liked her but she wasn't pretty enough for him. I told her "So where was he going to take you for a date? The swing sets at school?" Her mother and I put it into perspective for her. Crushes are one thing but shallow "let me tell you exactly how I feel' is rediculous.

Haha. Last year SS was in 6th grade and was “dating” a girl. I asked him what that meant. Do you talk? Text? Actually hang out? Negative to all of those. They also didn’t tell anyone they were “dating”. There was literally not one thing they did to indicate a relationship. They have since “broken up”. Which means absolutely nothing has changed.
