Any Guesses?

As some of you have been reading about Zippy16.5 on this site I am wondering if I am being skittish about something.

Zippy hates to work, he would rather game his brains out than do anything else in the world and he would rather do that in our basement 24/7-DH see's nothing wrong with this as this is what kids do these days (yeah right-but I know nothing since my kids are grown).

Zippy's friend Art got Zippy a job where he works at the local hamburger joint. On top of hating to work period-Zippy has to leave early for said job as he must bus (pauvre, pauvre Zippykins).

Zippy has been at this job for a month now an makes no bones about disliking the burger flipping job.

Well this week-Zip was scheduled to work Monday-4:30-8:30pm-"apparently" there were too many kids booked-they offered Zip, since he was scheduled if he wanted to stay "OF COURSE NOT"-that would take valuable gaming time away-sooo-Zip came home to game-I found that odd-

Yesterday Zip was scheduled to work 4:30-8:30 pm-he gets up after his usual 14 hour nap around 12:30pm or so-at two thirty he states he is going over to another friends house (biking! YIKES) before his shift-I remind Zippy not to get to caught up gaming with his friend that he misses his shift

Zippy: UHHH YUP

and leaves.

Dad is out banding last night and calls me around 9:00pm to announce Zippy is staying at said friends house -I asked DH how Zip said work went-NOTHING....ok

Today Zip is going to his Mom's this afternoon now he is downstairs gaming of course (came home early from friends to game his brains out before Mom's)

He has a closing shift tomorrow at the burger joint and I am wondering if he even has a job there any more -or is hanging out at friends pretending he is still working-just a gut feeling.

Tomorrow night should be interesting as DH is working all day and has to stay up until 1pm as Zippy is "apparently" closing.

Any bets as to whether or not Zippy still has a job???

the fact that he either got fired or quit and is just trying to hide that fact.

And I smell a rat with the Zipster (at least it is not dog poop yet)-

DH of course will gloss over everything when the fall out comes-poor Zippy again :sick:

And I'd bet he was kind of trying to get fired, too.

me that usually our "gut" instinct is correct 99.9% of the time!

Doesnt he get paid via check? That would be easy enough to figure out.

Zippy stayed at a different friends last night-

I mean, I could be wrong but then again

NOT-

Stay tuned-tomorrow night is the "alleged" closing shift-

Since Zip got home this morning he has not come up from the basement once and Daddykins is home this afternoon-

Thank God I am going out is all I can say-

S'n'M is picking Zippy up at 3:00pm or whatever time that is in Loopy Land....

I am NOT trying to be rude or mean or anything, it's just an honest question.....

What bothers you most about Zippy? Is it b/c he sleeps all day or b/c he plays video games all day? I am just curious. My DH and my own mother always hate it when people sleep beyond 8 am. My Dh has to go wake SD17 up if she sleeps beyond 8 (if shes with us). I dont get it.... I am not a morning person and it would NOT matter if I went to bed at 8pm or 1 am..... I will still sleep late! beyond that though, I would let SD sleep as late as she wanted EVERY day b/c then she wasnt bothering me! Studies show that teens need almost as much sleep as babies do....

I actually think he bugs you b/c he is lazy......right? So is my SD20! Lazy as they come!!!! I feel your pain on that front.

Go to the burger joint when he is supposed to be working. Then you would know wether or not he was fired or not.

I would innocently suggest to DH that you have a craving for a burger & fries and just how nice it would be to show your support for Zippy by a surprise visit to his burger joint. Wink

but from what I've read, I dont think Dh would care if he did quit!

And isn't saying anything about it because he knows that you'll get on him about getting another job. He just wants to play video games all day!

I spent 5+ years as a restaurateur. The clothes smelling that someone else mentioned is bang on. I kept two separate wardrobes. Work clothes that I dropped at the cleaners because I did not want them in my house or laundry room, and my REAL clothes.

If he is working consistently at GreaseBomb Burgers even his hair will smile like RESTAURANT KITCHEN.

The sniff test will tell.
