OK Weekend
I really like this SS16 working thing-the household gets a break from his incessant gaming. However I am wondering how long he will get to keep this job? Case in point was Sunday morning, DH was working and could not cater to SS16 re waking him up for work-SS16 was supposed to work for 9:00am (as some of you know, he does not get out of bed before noon on the weekends)-I was having a cup of tea at 9:30am when the phone rang, it was SS16 work-"Is Zippy there?"-
Sure enough -SS16 was snoozing happily away-I dropped the phone on the bed and told SS to talk to his boss.
Now 9:45am-SS slowly walks down the stairs mumbling something about not setting his alarm clock (which he sleeps through anyway)-slowly pours a bowl of cereal, which he then takes into the living room where he is not supposed to eat in because he leaves half of his meals ground into the new sofa...mumbling something about going in "around" 10:00am-9:50am-SS crawls upstairs and fiddles around in the bathroom for another 5 or so minutes-takes another 10 minutes to get ready-slowly puts on his coat, boots etc-finally makes it out the door after 10:00AM-
SS16 comes home after his 8 hour shift-says to DH in the kitchen-"my feet are so sore" DH feels sorry for SS -poor baby-gets a big hug (BARF)-
DH goes on about how tired poor SS is after working all day-I turn to DH and say:
"The kid is 16 Not 52 years old-if he was gaming, skiing and hanging out with friends he would stand on his feet all night without being tired!"
End to a perfect weekend.
PS -SS has lots of hours this week-going to be a good week (if he keeps the job that poops him out so much!

Maybe Siberia for the weekend?
DH looks at me in all seriousness says:
"I think Zippy will move out earlier than you think Endora".
I just HAD to ask why:
"Because of ALL the RULES in this house-they make him uncomfortable."
Step Parenting – you might need to step back before you step in something!
Siberia? Youre funny
Siberia? Youre funny
Oh dear Lord.....
RULES make the baby uncomfortable....seriously?????
Shove your foot up his ass and see how uncomfortable he is :)
I think my DH says things like that on purpose about my SD's to irritate me for the hell of it.
I have a brother thats about that age and he's the same exact way. My mother and stepfather are constantly on him about grades, smoking pot, breaking curfew...I wish I can say it will get better
Uncomfortable - what a joke!
Rules arn't supposed to be comfortable they are there to set the boundaries. Don't these BF's understand that.
