Tonight I was officially inaugurated into the domestic violence club. I gave myself a pedicure and then my 10 year old got interested so I gave him a short pedicure. By then my husband started commenting how gross it was to do that in our bedroom. I countered, " I have a towel down catching everything. I'm doing yours next. I'll run the vacuum when I'm done." my oldest poked his head in the room and his brother told him how great it was but apparently that was too much ( as is everything my oldest does ALL THE TIME).

After this weekend, it finally hit me that we go through this every single year around this time. There are other episodes during the year but it seems to come on the strongest around the holidays. The straw that broke the camels back was Saturday. I spent the morning running errands and the rest of the day power cleaning the living room in preparation for the Christmas tree. Where was DH? In our bedroom.

I know it's a holiday weekend and I don't know how much the blog will be up and going. MIL has offered to take SD for the Thanksgiving Day which I think is the best choice. My father is recently recovering from a major operation not to mention that having SD around over the past several years on a Good Day has been very tense (DH husband watches out for every single nasty word/gesture/etc that might be a slight to his daugher). I've suggested to DH that perhaps the best option is for SD to go with MIL so I/we can relax for once.
