A quick follow up to my last blog and to reply to SM#1...even though we've had SD12 full-time for the last four months and another four months, we still pay child support! It irks me every time I submit payment because I know where the money is going...hair appointments, pedicures, etc. My H won't go to court for full custody because he is earning much more money than he did at the time of the divorce (10 years ago). I know we would win now, but if BM came back in a year or two wanting custody again, we would get hammered on the child support. BM's "keeper", as I like to call him, who pays for her house, Mercedes, etc. has some fancy lawyers who would be sure to take us down. That child support could be going into my childrens' college fund...it's crazy!
