I've been a stepmom for 17 years. In that time I've made some bone-head choices, but I've also worked very hard, spent lots of money, and tried tried tried to make sure my Stepdaughter knew I love her. I've come to the conclusion that it was all for nothing, she's 21 now, and I'm still the evil dragon when it suits her. I give up.
