I've been married for 8 years have been a step mom full time since he was 9 he is 17 now his mother check out when he was 2.I never had kids my husband has 4 ,3 are grown and married.from day one I was told I should stay out of all discipline an let my husband do it problem is he doesn't he babies him even at 17 if you say anything to him he starts crying like a baby because it works his father will start yelling at me for upsetting him .
