Am I wrong?

I'm having an issue with my SD. Lately she has been staying at our house due to her and her mother not getting along. I have been doing everything for her, taking her to school, to work and everything else that comes with a 17 year old. Well the last couple of days I have no been in a mood to cook dinner so yesterday we had sandwiches for dinner and today I figured since my SD was getting paid chancer were she was going out to eat with her boyfriend. Well she texted me today and asked what was for dinner and I responded "I'm not cooking tonight, you might want to grab a bite to eat after work". So about a minute after that I get a text saying" F****** Y IS NOT COOKING SHE IS ON STRIKE" She thought she had sent the text to her boyfriend but I'm the one that got it instead. I was very upset only because like I said I do everything for her more than her actual mother and she treats me that way. Do I have a reason to be upset?

It's a bit rude, sure -- but to me sounds like typical 17-year old talking about something that didn't go exactly her way. Is it possible that SD was being flip with her boyfriend to be cute in that often thoughtless 17-year old way, and would not necessarily have said anything different about her biomom?

I would tell her half-jokingly she better either watch her tone or her trigger finger, or she'll be in charge of making dinner from now on Smile Hey maybe that's not a bad idea, you sound like you give a lot and are tired . . .

Yes, you have a reason to be upset. More than likely all the stuff going on with her mom is not all moms fault. Mom is probably glad the little ***** is staying at your house and giving her a break. First make a copy of the text so she cant lie about it. Stop cooking for her and being her indentured servant. I would be looking for a way to send her home to mommie so she can enjoy the ungrateful and disrespectful behavior.

Saying, "I'm on strike????" COOOOOOOOOOL!!!!! I guess you'll have to find a ride to school, work, buy your own groceries, do your own laundry and clean (thoroughly) your bedroom and bathroom area!!!! I will set a time for a negotiation meeting with your representative as soon as it's convenient. Til then you'll have to cross the picket line that I will be walking in front of our house for all your friends to see!
