They're driving me bonkers! (Vent)
SKs are both here for winter break. SS16 is here 70% normally and SS11 here 30% normally. Their mother is a HCBM to the extreme and has stunted these children to the point that there's no real personality there. They just skulk around and suck the joy out of the atmosphere.
SS16 has taken to sitting on the couch all.dang.day, so you can't even enter the kitchen without him having something to say about it (it's an open floorplan). It's so bad that DD15 won't leave her room most days because she would rather not deal with him. SS 11 is really just obsessed with the TV in his room, so he's almost a non-factor EXCEPT that as soon as DH scuttled SS16 away from the living room, SS11 went in!
I'm tired--I slept <2 hours last night--work stinks, and I'm super easily irritated right now. The last thing I need is these two little nosey joy suckers bothering me.

I do not miss those days. I lucked out the last 2 years of my toxic marriage, SD stayed away. 8 years of it was spent with a joy sucking soul sucking mini wife looking like a miserable bitch.

And SK somewhere. Where they can have some bonding time. Returning Christmas gifts, shopping, to the park.

DH is working from home, just like me, so he's busy as a bee and of course they don't bother him like they do me, anyway. He refers to them as being like wallpaper paste.
I'm fortunate that he's tolerant of me complaining about them sucking the joy out of our world. He gets it, but is a bit of a DuH on managing it unless I lose my temper.
