He took his Block 4 final today. 90. He is in a good rut with his academic performance. He is a bit chapped though. Day after we left to return to Tx at the end of Labor Day weekend someone punched a hole in the Squad Bay so for the past week+ they have had everyone cleaning and on constant PT and lock down until the culprit admits to the damage.

Apparently they figured out today that it is someone who graduated and shipped out last week.

I am proud of the kid and he is proud of himself.

He is now on AFI (awaiting further instruction) status until he starts his last block which will likely start on Oct 3rd. They will keep his class busy on busy work for the next three weeks.

Cool kid, very cool. Keep up the good work and performing to your capabilities.

I probably will not see him again before I head to Qatar but it looks like he will get leave and go with his mom to visit her family in mid Oct.

Of course .... he was talking profusely about what he has been up to the last week+ when there was a beep and ...."Dad, It's mom. I gotta go!.....CLICK!"

Every dad knows were we fall in the relative scale of importance. Mom takes precident. No NFL player ever says "Thanks Dad" or "I love you Dad" when they win the Super Bowl." It is always "Thanks Mom" or "I love you Mom!"

Back to work so I can pay for the Skid/Mom trip to visit the ILs.
