Well, today is my last day at work for a couple of weeks - going to the inlaws tomorrow until the 23rd, then back for Christmas Eve-Christmas morning with SS10, then off to my folks for Christmas dinner.

I only come on here at work because we share a laptop and I want to keep my venting private from my OH, so I would like to take this opportunity to say:

As it was a cold & miserable day yesterday, OH & I decided to go for a full blown roast dinner as SS10 was with us. We went for chicken as it's SS10's favourite & didn't make him have any leeks or parsnips as he doesn't like them. However, we'd roasted some butternut squash with the other veggies & SS10 had agreed to try a bit as he'd never had it before.

It must be a Tuesday thing! Just got an email saying he's back in hospital for the same thing (infected lymph gland) but is feeling really rough with it this time. That's all OH wrote, so I'm now waiting for an answer from him as to more details, whether they've actually run all the tests to check that this is all it is etc. I don't like that all my questions have to go via OH to BM (as she's the one with SS10 at the hospital) as it takes so long for answers to come back.

SS10 is currently on his way home from hospital, the IV antibiotics have taken the swelling down & he's got a course of oral ones for the next few days.

Such a relief, and at least it means we should be able to enjoy our weekend by ourselves now - lunch with friends on Saturday, followed by the dreaded Xmas shopping!
