I can see into the future! :jawdrop: SS1 arrested and on the 10pm news. BM new what he was doing and allowed him to use her house. He was the only one arrested???? WTF She should so have been parked in that back seat to. He is 3 weeks from 18th birthday and may be charged as adult. If that happens he is looking at 25 to life. When I first meet SS1 he wanted to go to harvard. I so just want to beat the holy SSSS out of BM for screwing up her kids so bad just to get back at BF. I do hope there is a VERY special place for her in hell.

Doesn't matter she said yes. It's all about the age. This is a good law but needs to be modified to allow for some give. I so blame the BM she has let all SS run and do everything they want whenever. To the point she doesn't know where they are most of the time. We told the Judge something would happen. I would love to visit with him and let him know what his cookie cutter stamp did to our family. Judges need to stop. Every divorce is different look further then the surface.

Huh??? Jessica's law is for persons under twelve. How can you possibly believe a 12 year old girl has the ability to consent to sex with a 17 year old boy?

I am too really worried that my SD14 will get some kid in a whole load of trouble soon. She could pull off telling someone that she is 19 easy, she is 5'9", very beautiful, and her parts are developed and in the right place. And has lied about her age before. And it scares the hell out of me, one because she should not be around guys that old, and two because I really dont think can conceptualize how much trouble she can get them into with her shit.

And recently she was caught having a sexual conversation with a 17 on her FB account, where she identified herself as 21, so my fears are not completely groundless.

Ok Ladies! What part of BM is a pile of SSSS and lets them do whatever they want do you not understand? OH! and yes girls lie all the time about age first they are older then smack I am not that old. lol Anyway! When you let a teenage have that kind of freedom before they even know What the real world is WTF do you think is going to happen.

IN the local news paper they have a blog for articles. People are so putting down the girl. What happened to where the parents. Where is the boy.

This happened in the wee hours of the morning and They where at BM's house when cops came to arrest him. If BM had been a parent he would not have been out that late and a Girl would not have been sleeping in his bed with him.

she let them sleep together in her house? they may not have arrested her yet but give it time.

the whole point of these laws, and all anti-pedophilia laws, is that children do not understand the consequences of sexual behavior. a twelve year old doesn't understand that her acting out can harm her.

I always find it shocking when people blame the victim in statutory rape cases. most pedophiles use the excuse that "they lied about their age and acted seductively"

the reason it's rape is that children don't understand what "acting seductively" means. no twelve year old wants to f*ck.

a sixteen or seventeen year old maybe.

personally- the parents are to blame, he's only 17 and already this screwed up and unable to use self control. once he hits 18 it's all his fault.

I have several perspectives on this and will sit on the fence.... with a few exceptions.

1) A 12yo is a child and a 17yo is an young adult. He should be a lifetime sexual predator listee after he gets out of prison.

2) There are situations where these girls are "dating" older boys and when things end they file charges when their little girl hearts get broken when they are often the ones who initiate sexual contact. Young men should not be victimized by these girls. But a 12yo and a 17yo ....the scumbag should be in prison.

3) My wife had SS at 16 and the SpermIdiot was 22. My ILs could have and should have put his statutory rapist ass in prison. That would have saved three more OOWL kids from inheriting his shallow and toxic gene pool.

4) In the case of the parents of the 12yo, they should be in prison for being inept and criminally negligent idiots.

5) The BM for the 17yo should be in prison with her child molesting spawn for the same reasons as the 12yo's parents with the added charges of contributing, prostitution, and anything else that makes sense and would get her behind bars for decades on end. She too should be on the sexual predator list for facilitation of the rape and molestation of the 12yo.

I can certainly understand the difficulty of HS boys being duped by younger girls. When I was 18 and in Military School I was dating a girl from the local HS. I got a call from her mother inviting me to a surprise B-Day party for my GF. I asked what I should bring and asked her mom to suggest a gift. Her answer ........ "Anything that a girl about to turn 15 would like". I just about went in to apoplexy.

When I was 26 and very recently divorced I met a woman at a club. We dated for several months. Come to find out ..... she was 17. When I found out I photo copied her fake ID just for CYA.

In neither case was a acting criminally since they were either of legal age of consent or I was less than 5yrs older than the young ladies were.

Here is a link to a reference site for legal age of consent by state. No state has an age of concent lower than 16 though many have a 3-5 year gap rule as long as the older partner is not older than 21. Interestingly the Connecticut is the state with the youngest legal age of consent which is 12 if the older partner is not older than 13. I found that kind of odd.

Anyway this link covers the LAOC for each state in the US with some state specific supplemental laws and rules that are caveates to the LOAC.

Ok for a while here on this post, I was really confused. The responses seemed to be defending the boy. Maybe it was the lack of original information. However, my first thought was OMG what did this SS17 do to a child though. So, I empathize with the OP. OP I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this. Of all things. BM needs a good ass kicking as does her son. I hope in some way she will be held accountable as a parent who was currently supervising.

I'm wso sorry for what you're going through.

My SD14 knows kids at school who dress, look and act like adults, and most of these kids also were like that in middle school. I have seen some of their fb profiles and I'm truly saddened by what I see. I want to scream at their parents because they're not in tune with what their kids are doing, letting them run amok, and damaging them in the long run. So I can see how some people would see them as being actual adults.

BM should get arrested too and get the book thrown at her for allowing this to go on in her home.

just because a child acts like an adult, does not mean they are an adult.

I don't have sympathy for the boy. 12 and under is pretty extreme.
