You know...it really gets better when the skids move away. At least it did for me. The last time SS came for a visit was several months ago. He said he would not be able to come back for 18 months. I did the metal happy dance and went on about my business.

Well DH just told me that SS will be here for Christmas. Damn...that's not 18 months!! I feel I should complain to SS's old teachers since they apparently did not teach him to add properly!! lol

SS and the military.

Well, SS is not getting kicked out of the military. At least not right now. THANK YOU LORD!

He is on some type of disciplinary action. (2nd since he has been in) Basically sounds like he is grounded for a few weeks. But the military must ground people like my DH and BM did, because it does not seemed to have slowed SS down much. He sure was at a concert the other night.

Oh well....I just keep fingers crossed that he does not finally find that straw that breaks the camels back! Hopefully he has a long, loooong career with the military.

May delete later since it is so specific.

Sooooo… last night I walked outside and DH was on the phone with SS. I could tell that the tone of the conversation changed when I walked out. Anyway, he grunted a lot and at that end of the convo, he told him to hang in there and he was very proud of him. GAG ME!

I could tell something was wrong so I asked. UGH…Apparently SS got into MORE trouble.

This is the story I got….

FML...DH is going to quit smoking!!

UGH…I am not a happy person at the moment and I feel like a shit for it. DH just text me and told me that he has not had a cigarette all day and he is going to quit smoking.

Which sounds great at first glance right? I actually broke out in a cold sweat when he told me that. He quit smoking about 5 years ago for over 2 years. IT WAS AWEFUL!!!

So I survived a 2 week visit with SS. (He spent a few days with BM) I hate to say it but after 1 and a half years in the military he is still the same lying, dirty, entitled, loud mouth, man/child. According to SS, he is in a very easy branch of the military, he is not required to do much and he will NEVER see any type of combat. (that is why he went in to this branch) He does maintenance on a boat.

And DH still acts like an idiot when SS is around.

Random things that annoyed me during visit….(Though I did not show)

Does your DH ever do something stupid and you just have to shake your head in wonder?

So last night SS comes outside where we are and wanted something to eat. DH told him to go make a sloppy joe. SS goes back inside. The following convo happen about 5 minutes later when I walk inside…

I don't know how I did this for 2 years?

I want to run away and SS has only been here a few days.

UGH!! I forgot how annoying it is to have SS here….. The endless, look at me, chatter. My DH acting like a love sick school girl to SS. My DH acting like everyone else is a little lower than SS. And BM. Oh the joys of BM. The random pictures that DH MUST send me during the day of SS. Who gives a flying pigs ear.

Ok…so SS did show up over the weekend to surprise DH. It was actually a really sweet reunion surprise.

After SS being on deployment for 8 months…he is still the same. Lies about everything and can tell the same story three times but change it up EVERY time. He still has to be center of attention every second of the day. Even if it is negative attention.
