My SD's come over to visit us. I really enjoyed their company. I did notice my sd 11 was not being her usual self. She was at a daze and had a numb look, my poor baby. Why is it so easy for some parents to medicate their childern only because they dont want to deal with them. Yes I know that there are children that are out of control and really need the help but c'mon...She is a great kid. God Help me understand!!!!!

Things have been great at home. Sd havent been visiting us that often cuz when its our weekend BM plans a fun family event for them. They call us to ask what time we are going to pick them up dh lets them know the time and when he calls to ask ifthey are ready they tell him "is it okay if we go tomorrow it's cuz our cousins are coming over and we want to play with them.... UGH!!!

Oh well I dont stress over it anymore...... I just pop the popcorn and watch a movie with hubby..It works for meeee.

My SS's are heavily medicated too. They have been diagnosed with every personality disorder you could imagine, and I don't believe any of them.
We are talking not just your garden variety ADD/ADHD
We are talking
Tourettes
ADD
ADHD
OCD
DEPRESSION
ANXIETY
BIPOLAR
The little one was locked up for a week in the adult psych ward, due to reactions to all the meds he is given.
It is abuse in the higest level.
When children are medicated, they go through their formative years in a fog. How can they even learn the basic fundamentals of right vs. wrong, when you are drugged.
It's a crime. I don't believe any children under 16 should be albe to take prescribed medication for mental disorders without a second opinion, at least, and BOTH parents permission.
