So god damned pissed off..my weekend is RUINED
BM said she would be picking up SD from our house "when she woke up" tomorrow. She ALSO said she would be able to take SD to her sporting event Sunday, as she worked 6am until 1pm and the game doesn't start until 2pm. My DH just called me at work to tell me BM is not picking SD up from us until 2pm tomorrow, and she now has to work 11am until 5pm on Sunday so she will not be able to get SD to game. THEREFORE she will be dropping SD off to us on her way to work Sunday morning, and won't be picking her back up until 5:30pm. BYE BYE weekend. Hopefully see you again next week. I am so effing pissed off that my plans are RUINED in a matter of SECONDS with NO WARNING. We were supposed to have almost our whole weekend free minus one hour when we attended her game Sunday. I just went off on my DH and I don't care if he is pissed off. I'm tired of the "other woman" so to speak being able to have so much influence over MY LIFE. I'm making other plans and I'm getting the EFF out of dodge on Sunday.

If this weekend is BM's time,
If this weekend is BM's time, she needs to find her own damn sitter. Maybe I am in a horrible mood today, but I am sick and tired of these BM's thinking we are their personal free baby sitters. We have lives too dammit! Just because you pushed a kid out of your vag and then walked away doesn't mean that the kid is everyone else's problem. I say you put your foot down, make your own plans, and have your crummy BM find her baby sitting services.
My DH rolls over every damn
My DH rolls over every damn time when it comes to his kid. "Oh, BM you want me to watch SD on YOUR day for over 7 hours? Sure drop her off!" WTF??????? He gets all defensive about it too because he says "I would keep SD 24/7 if I could! I don't MIND having her!" Yeah well I DO mind when I am looking forward to a relaxing kid free weekend and this crap is sprung on me Friday afternoon. LOVE IT. BM is off work today too but guess who is watching SD........DH's Mom!!!!!!! DH would rather keep SD himself than have BM send her to a babysitter. I tell him over and over...its the PRINCIPLE of the matter....BM needs to figure it out on her OWN instead of DH being at her beck and call.
I wouldn't put up with that!
I wouldn't put up with that! My SKIDS BM tries to pull stunts like that all the time. It gets worse if you keep letting it happen! Good luck, try to enjoy your weekend!!
Dont you just LOVE it?!? I
Dont you just LOVE it?!? I can't remember the last time we had a weekend. And as of this week I now know we may never have another. BM started with these excuses here and there and pretty soon it dwindled down to a day a month when she had ben having her weekends and two evenings a week. Then this last week she let us know shes not going to have her at all anymore. If you read "dear sd" in my blog you will get a glimpse of what I now have ALL the time as her dad works from 3pm(right after shes out of school) to 9 or 10pm(by the time I have her in bed). I'm so exhausted!!! I feel like my head is going to explode from all the fake happy I've been trying to keep up.
Ugh, my DH and the BM used to
Ugh, my DH and the BM used to pull this crap allllll the time. We would have plans on our weekend, then just like clock work, BM would call last minute with some catastrophy where we needed to take SD. It was never an emergency, but DH would jump at the chance to take SD last minute every time. He made me out to be a monster because I was getting pissed that our plans were always getting shit on last minute and he was bowing down to BM's schedule and every whim.
Finally, after one of our knock down drag outs, I told him it had to stop. That if this was going to work that I needed our weekends and to be able to look forward to our plans without going through the emotional rollercoaster all the time. I pointed out that I didn't f crap up on SD's weekends, so I would expect the same courtesy for ours. I think he finally got it then.
Good luck and keep on trying every approach you can until you find the angle that works. It took years and years of different tactics for my DH to even "kind of" see it my way.
