OT- I got a job!!
So, I accepted a job offer- this one was my preferred company. I had started initial talks with other companies too, the last one was even recently.
I'm not overly thrilled with salary- because it's lower then I had at my previous company- but at my age and a gap of a little over a year, most people are facing the same- not finding jobs w/the income they made.
Culturally, it is a perfect fit- the manager is awesome and from the same country I grew up in (S. America).
Salary is decent though, and I get a car allowance and payment towards my internet. Medical is great for individuals but very high to add children or spouse- so hopefully, my husband finds something between not and when I need it next year. I do have an RMA account that I could use to pay premiums, but rather not of course.
I'm in the middle of paperwork filling, and they are prepping everything for me, phone, laptop, business cards. I start middle of the month-they are flying out to meet me here where I live, the next day I fly out to meet the team (day trip) to their headquarters then hit the road running reaching out to new accounts.
They are already setting me up for a gala event in early December w/chamber of commerce-which I certainly have to get a formal dress ha!
No stipend for office furniture-but most companies don't-seems like only the bigger ones. It's a smaller scale company in the same industry then I had- but sometimes smaller IS better. You get a lot more noticed and attention w/the higher ups then big companies. I mean, in one of my roles I had a lot of fancy events and such, but NEVER a gala....so there is that lol.
This will definitely open doors down the road for me as well w/in the industry for what I want to do truly remote- like from living in Mexico type idea ha!
I'm definitely happy and nervous, have a hair appt booked to re-touch the grey roots, and nails. Have to go and get a couple business pants/blouses and sensible shoes. Anyways, just sharing the news. I feel like a huge weight has lifted and no longer feel like I did with everything being so grim. Thanks to all my friends here for the wonderful support this incredibly tough time.
I'll update on the rest of the fam another post.

Congratulations!!! I love
Congratulations!!! I love being in a small company. I went from a large corporation to a small business with only 12 employees. After getting over the culture shock- I couldn't imagine going back! There is less money, but the perks are through the roof! People actually care about me here.
With DH I have to attend several formal events every year, I love Thred Up for gowns! I can usually find something under $100 that is designer and gorgeous!
