Twice in a Month's time we will be exposed to HCBM
SKs Senior year is wrapping up. (Thank you Sweet Jesus).
We traveled out of state for a surprise visit for awards night which was awesome to see SKs reaction when seeing DH.
BM and her troll H were clearly uncomfortable with us being there. Troll H let the door fall as we all filed into the school. We were right behind them in line after taking pics with SK before hand, (BM saw my DH as we approached and immediatley I saw her clearly and sternly give SK some sort of instructions as he would not turn around although we were directly lined up behind them.I wasnt having that bull so I gently touched SK's back and stated how handsome he looked at which point he then engaged with DH and I).
We arranged to take SK to dinner after and BM and Troll H nearly sprinted out of the place leaving SK with us. It was ODD as $hit.
Graduation is next week, and fingers crossed it seems we have tickets to attend. I loathe the idea of seeing them again but hopefully it will be from afar and just as brief.

Steplife, does the drama ever stop? When my SKs graduated, they were living here. In those days, restaurants weren't the usual grad party venue so I'd have the after-grad thing here. I was fanatically considered about looking good to BM altho now, I can't remember why since she had dumped her kids on me and should have been worried about looking good to ME. I think I still had that insane jealousy thing going.
Well, anyway, on the run-up to SD's grad party, I was going nuts. I was working part-time, going to night school and coping with the 5 kids and hyper DH. Then the unimaginable happened, my cleaning lady got sick! I was racing around with the cleaning, the food, my outfit, etc. It was crazy and now, I wish I could go back and tell myself to relax, take a nap and have a glass of wine. Lol.

Be sure to look your absolute best, DH too, and take comfort in the fact it doesn't take much effort to make her act crazy. LOL. One of joys of being a stepmom when presented to opportunity.
My DH found it was helpful to have a plan with SD for connecting afterwards for that all important picture and exchange. That way he could get it done and leave. No run it with the ex that way for him. Phones help.
My SD's graduation is in 2
My SD's graduation is in 2 hours. My hairdresser canceled at the last second so I'm having to do my hair so I've been working on it for what feels like the whole day! ( I can never make it look as good as when she flat irons it) I sprained my ankle so I have to wear flat sandals, Oh and only the parents can sit up front so I'm stuck on the back with his brother, neice and cousin!
And YES I am drinking some wine before we leave!!!!
