Happy Friday, STalkers! I'm counting down to the start of a 3-day weekend. *yahoo*

Eff off to:

  • Spam calls. Is Publisher's Clearinghouse actually still a thing?? What's the point of the Do Not Call list when you get spam calls daily? May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the nether regions of every damn spammer.
  • King Pita. Yes, spammers beat out KP this week! KP, stop nagging me to do something that cannot be completed until you do YOUR part. I've emailed you twice, and pinged you on Zoom chat. And you have the nerve to send a separate email asking why it's not done? KP, you total asshat, you deserve three rounds of a Double Flying Five Fist Monkey Nut Punch. 

 

Forn Friday

Forn is 'food' and 'p0rn' combined.

Who likes to turn fruit into a savory treat? I luuuuuuuvvvv pears and gorgonzola or blue cheese and usually toss them into a salad. DH was working last night and I was feeling inspired and decided to make a baked stuffed pear. I halved the pear and scooped out the core. Then I stuffed it with a mixture of prosciutto, gorgonzola, walnuts, craisins, and a little thyme, drizzled with olive oil, and baked it. Oooooooohhhhh mmmmmyyyyyyyy!!! This is a keeper!

Will be headed South for Mardi Gras.  Eff off to any unforseen occurrence that I will be blamed for (rolling eyes).

Eff off to whining tenants about their utility bills (just one in particular)  umm EVERYONE'S utility bill has doubled over the last year.

Yes, thinkthrice, they have. I'm tired of the whiners who (IMO) are deliberately bad money managers. Do not whine about no money to pay your electric when you go out to eat regularly, often dropping $40-$50 dollars each time. Crikey!

As I am also looking forward to a 3 day weekend.  

Weather in Jersey is like having 3 seasons in one day.  This morning it was a beautiful early summer day, now it is a chilly wet spring rain and by 6 PM is supposed to drop to the 20's for our winter day.  Sooo I will not be leaving the house as I have no idea what to wear.  *unknw*

My sweet/savory that I am asked to bring to all bbq's, etc is so simple and taken from some random website:

Phyllo cups filled with a little bit of fig preserve, a piece of fontina cheese, topped with prosciutto.  Bake for 10 minutes.  

Addictive!

Grilled pineapple, scallions, fish, salt, pepper, a little olive oil, lime juice, all thrown together in a foil packet in the oven.

And the effs today go to our HR director. When MY staff was quitting en masse for better pay and remote work, well, clearly there was something wrong with the work environment. Now that HER staff is quitting en masse for better pay and remote work, well, the problem is that her staff is underpaid. Nope, can't have it both ways.

Six months to retirement. I really love my job but this b.s. sucks the joy out of it on the regular.

F OFF to the Shunning Bitch. Shunning Bitch is a cow at work who was all chipper for her first six months with us but then suddenly went silent and shuns everyone. If she sees you coming down the hall, she'll literally run to get away from you. F OFF to all the idiots in denial who describe her as "quiet" or as an "introvert." No she's a supreme bitch and her behaviour is extreme. I don't know why I"m the only one who notices her behaviour. Whenever there's anything social, people will practically belly surf across her cubicle wall to try to convince her to come to make sure she feels included. She NEVER comes and isn't even nice about saying no. I can't stand her. Everyone sucks up to her thinking that it'll get her to open up and warm up only they're accomplishing nothing but reinforcing her behaviour. Anyway, I've been really pissy for the last several weeks and today Shunning Bitch royally pissed me off. 

I adore orange slices on salmon in a foil packet. Hmmm. Maybe I'll make that for supper. There's something about citrus that's got a cheery effect on me. I'm on the West Coast and we're known for seafood so I'll stop at the market and get some fresh salmon or some other kind of fish. I'm so grateful for the availability of fresh lovely seafood where I live.

Gadzooks, Evil, WTH is wrong with those people? Are they brainwashed?? Sheesh. Shunning Bitch sounds awful. 

Your salmon sounds tasty! I know it's not quite the same as the coast, but we have a local fish market whose crew goes out on Lake Superior almost daily to haul in fresh fish. It's a beautiful thing to know your fish was swimming just a few short hours ago. *yahoo*

Stop being a turd, grow up and get ANOTHER new job. You're not fooling me kiddo and you are moving out in June even if I have to go all step parent on you and rent a place myself for you! Also I hope this new found "I'm going to college" sticks for more than a hot minute. 
 

My favorite foodie thing right now is grapes, apple and cuties mixed with Greek yogurt and eaten as a treat. Don't be fooled, I like cake too. :p

Aniki - for the dark chocolate cake with mocha frosting - google Ina Garten's Beatty's Chocolate Cake recipe.  I just discovered it and its a hit! The frosting has coffee in it, and its amazing!

Love chocolate and coffee pairing. My favorite dessert is a mock tiramisu. Made with cream cheese instead of mascarpone. Yum!

My FORN this week: smoked salmon, cream cheese, and cucumber sandwiches on toasted sourdough. MMM! Craving it all week.

EFF OFF to: 

Having 7 people in my office and not a one of them is helping me or working. They, including the 2 managers, are all talking about playing video games. These people have no lives. All they do is play video games. I heard one of them, who is in his mid twenties, say that he forgets to give his young daughter her medicine because he is too busy playing video games. He thinks this is funny. I think its pathetic. Poor kid.

Anyway, I finally had to yell at them all over the din of their loud laughing and talking, and say "I need someone to help the driver at the dispatch window while I figure out this problem for the contractor on the phone. "   They all looked at me like they just woke up from a nice dream. Yes folks! You are AT WORK, so people expect you to WORK!  Stupid idiots! 

Where are all the grown ups?
