Think I need a hug :(

It had been a blissful month...the only time SD13 came around was a quick pop-in and out to get money. She had been staying with a family member on BM's side. Well her cousin came to town a week ago and since the cousin is close in age she likes to spend time with her and SD13 packed up from the person she was staying with and went to her GM (BM's mother) where the cousin is and that is just a few blocks from where we live...so now she and always at least 4 people with her have been in and out of our house randomly for the past few days. The house is a mess all the time and they are into everything like a bunch of five year olds.

This weekend we were supposed to go to dinner to celebrate our anniversary but it seems there is 5 other people in the house this weekend expecting to be entertained so I'm guessing that our anniversary will be forgotten and the excuse will be "oh I need to spend time with her...she hasn't been around much lately"

As manipulative as SD13 is...I'm pretty she knows exactly what she is doing and that it is our anniversary weekend. The ultimate way to show me who reigns supreme.

She is staying w her GM right?

So can you not tell her that on such and such night you have plans and that night your house will be unavailable? Then go out and lock the doors. She is 13, not 7. She is old enough to.respect her fathers privacy for an evening.

Unfortunately that is not the way it works in our home...maybe in a normal home but not ours. She has free reign anytime and her whims come before me...always have, always will. She has told her dad that her GM's house is too hot and he has bought into that hook line and sinker. Funny thing is that it was fine a couple days ago. She thinks she'll get a weekend of entertainment out of her dad because no one else who she usually hangs with is doing anything and she is the HIGH maintenance type that has to be constantly entertained and constantly hungry but doesn't want to eat (if that makes any sense). :?

That's a husband problem more so than a skid one.

He should put YOU first at least for your anniversary Sad

I totally agree but I completely knew what I was getting into because it has always been this way...I was told that she was always going to be number one and that is the way it is. Boo for me Sad

And it wouldn't bother me nearly as much as if she were a sweet girl who treated her dad nice but she treats him like garbage and that really ticks me off.
