Is it common for stepkids to turn on you around age 10 or 11?

Because even though my husband raised his children the boy has turned on me viciously at ten and a half?

You have good points. But he is like a clingy three year old clinging to and hugging all over his dad and child abuser POS mother. Its just me he hates Sad

Exactly the time that my skids turned on me. Don't know if it was the coinciding arrival of BS3.5 or not, but 10-11 is when both SS14 and SD15 started turning into brats (to me and in general)

It didn't happen with all my step kids, and the one that really turned on me did it at 13, and expressed his hostility in a more passive aggressive way rather than viciously. Puberty is generally the turning point, unless there is some other life event that provokes a change in attitude.
