Poor BM's feelings got hurt and she made a fool of herself trying to invite herself to lunch with DH and skids.
BM and SD21 are going out of town together this weekend so SD21 will not see DH on Father's day. SD21 asked DH to have lunch with her so she could give him his gift. DH had SS11 so they were all going together.
When they arrived at the restaurant, DH noticed BM's car in the parking lot. He suggested they go to another restaurant. SD21 texted BM and informed DH that BM was having lunch with aunt, so they proceeded inside.
BM immediately started waving and saying I saved you seats over here! DH ignored her and directed skids to table on the opposite side of the small restaurant. DH sat facing window so he didn't have to look at her. BM started hollering even louder for them to come sit with her as though they hadn't seen her. Then BM texts DH and SD21 telling them aunt canceled and they should all sit together at her table since it's bigger.
SD21 starts to get up and DH tells her, "We are here celebrating Father's day, not Mother's day. If you want to go have lunch with your mother, that's fine, but SS11 and I will not be joining you"
SD21 texts her mother. Next thing you know BM starts crying and sobbing that she can't believe he would treat her this way, especially in public. And how could DH be so cold to the mother of his children.
DH told skids they were going to a different restaurant and they all got up and left, with BM still sitting there crying.
I doubt that's how BM thought things would go when she planned her little lunch date. I actually feel bad for her because DH has made it pretty plain he wants as little to do with her as possible. Why does she do these things that will only end in humiliation for her?
