Quick question

Is anyone else getting redirected to a "quick message from our sponsors" whenever they click on a step talk link? I think I may of gotten some spyware, or spamware? but I wanted to check before I did a factory restore on my poor laptop!

I work in IT. Do you have any antivirus or antispyware/malware programs on your computer right now?

For antivirus, I like Microsoft Essentials or AVG Free antivirus. Make sure you only have ONE antivirus program as they do not like to play well with each other.

For antispyware/malware, I use MalwareBytes free edition.

For most crap, I like CCleaner (formerly CrapCleaner) that will delete files that can clog up your hard drive like temp internet files and download files, etc.

Thanks guys! I wound up doing a factory restore on the laptop last night, and by the time I got done, Hubby was home. That's why I didn't comment last nigh! Biggrin

Thanks for all the advice. Currently I am using Norton's and the Google thing. I will have to download the other later!
