Bizzare Weekend

So in addition to being a no-show at the CSE meeting, BM was also a no-show this weekend. I'm really starting to get concerned. She's seen SS11 4 days total out of the past 34. Prior to his living with us at the beginning of April, he was in her care (when she didn't pawn him off on a family member)the majority of the time. She called on Friday to ask what was going on this weekend. I told her SS mentioned something about going to visit his Uncle (DH's brother-AKA Mr. T) on Friday but that was the first I'd heard of it. She told me that he mentioned it to her last weekend and she said she "didn't mind" if he went to see Mr. T on Friday and she would pick him up when she got out of work at 6 from Mr. T's apartment.

She asked about the CSE meeting. I told her there were plans to reschedule as SS's school wasn't prepared. She said she planned on being at the next one and "something came up" so she couldn't make the first meeting (again-told no one and this has been planned for 3 weeks-I would have even picked her up). I told her I'd let her know when I knew more (date/time). She also said she planned on having a birthday party for all 3 of her kids and Memorial Day was next weekend. Okay, whatev. I haven't mentioned it to SS, because-well who knows. She asked me to have SS call her later. I texted SO to find out if he knew if Mr. T was planning on taking SS. He texted back that Mr. T had no idea, but of course he'd love to see him (Mr. T is good like that). So BM made plans with SS, without informing ANYONE including Mr. T. SO thinks it's because she doesn't want to cramp her Friday night or so that she doesn't have to go out of her way to pick SS up from our house (which ironically is closer to where she lives than Mr. T's).

When I got home from work SS was playing with my younger cousins at my grandmother's house. SO came home from work and took SS to Mr. T's. Since I work mostly from home and had a very busy, hectic Friday I was busy tying up as many loose ends at work as I could so I could enjoy the weekend. Completely forgot to ask SS to call BM-texted BM to let her know I forgot, SS was already at Mr. T's and I apologized. I received no response.

Throughout the weekend she's been all over Facebook and not so much as a call or text from her telling us she's not coming. Generally if she can't get a hold of SO, she'll text or FB me.

Tonight SS comes home from Mr. T's and my mom is watching TV. SS starts complaining about not being able to watch AFV and starts the "I wish I was at moms" stuff which I just ignored because I have nothing good to say. Then he starts complaining about how I didn't record a show for him last week and "do ya think you can remember this time?" line. EXCUSEEEE ME. I said "You didn't tell me you wanted the show recorded until the day after it was on man." To which he replies "It was on at that time ALL last summer." Oh yes. Now I remember. *not* SMH.

That's a LOAD more attitude than I usually get. SO said he did not mention visiting BM to Mr. T or him the entire weekend (SO stopped in to hang out with SS and Mr. T between Home Depot runs). I can imagine this is coming from a place of disappointment, but man it was getting under my skin. So instead of getting mad, I fed him, put him in the shower, reminded him to brush his teeth and put clean sheets on his bed. I hope someday it matters because right now it feels not so good.

Oh yeah-and we had someone steal $200 out of our bank account on Saturday. Some fly guy is lookin hot in sketchers and champion merch in the Bronx

Have you read bsgoinon's blogs? She has a similar situation to yours. Her BM has gradually quit seeing her SS due to drugs. She and her DH have handled the situation so well - they are both amazing. You can probably learn a lot from her experiences.

Sorry about losing the money! I recently got a text from my credit card company asking if I had made a purchase in another state. I had not made the purchase, so they immediately cancelled my card. I was not out the money as the credit card company covered it - but what a pain to have to change all my accounts that were linked to that card. I'm glad the company has controls in place to make immediate notifications when charges seem out of character.

Oh my goodness-I looked up her blog the other day and you're so right! I started to wonder if she was SS's other brother's mother. :jawdrop:
