10 Things I LOVE about my DD & SK's

Ok, don't bash me here!!! I know this is a place to vent and believe you me I've done my share of that on here. I'm just having a revival, I guess, and I'm really happy with my DD and SK's so I wanted to post a little something positive. So, here goes...

1. That my DD is the best Dad in the world!
2. That my SK's adore me
3. That I get to spoil my SK's and don't have to be their "Mom"
4. That my SK's and my kid get along well
5. The smile on my DD's face when he's with his kids
6. The way they hug each other & the way he still carries his 6 yr old daughter at times.
7. How sweet they look when DD falls asleep in their bed with them.
8. How he gushes over his kids and the pride and love in his voice when he does.
9. How adorable his kids are and how they are happy and laugh so much.
10. That my DD and I love each other not only for each other but also love each other as parents.

Awww, this is sweet, I can find a tons of things I love my bf for...as for SD I struggle-if I come up with something I'll post it..

OH...she made me a card for mothers day, and a chocolate covered strawberry decorated with bows.
She sometimes makes waffles for the boys for breakfast.
She is a very good athlete, will hopefully do very well for her and keep her out of trouble as she gets older

No bashing, but you've only been with BF for one year? I was all giggles and gumdrops at that point as well. Hoping that the BM, if she's in the picture, doesn't find out that you and skids are having a good time as usually that will, under NO circumstances, be tolerated by the BM.

Thanks for not coming down to hard on me guys & gals!!! I was just feeling so much LOVE at the time - still am. It's not that we've not had our share of problems with each other AND the kids - trust me, check my other posts! We just had a real rough time and broke up a while ago, actually, but since then, things have changed. I think before my BF/SO/DD (whatever you want to call him - lol) has really opened up to me and i guess I'm so happy because in my previous marriage we never fixed our problems...same ones we started with stayed with us through the marriage. And my ex never had the ability to apologize like my BF does if warranted. I know a year isn't very long. We're probably to some degree still in the honeymoon stage but I can't say I'm hating it right now Smile

Oh and as far as BM goes....well, she probably doesn't know much. I mean I've talked to her on the phone, met her a few times, dropped off the kids after a visit or two but far as I know she's not said anything or been an evil woman about anything. The BM is remarried and her new hubbie has about four kids of his own. Far as I can see she's been pretty mature about the whole thing. I know that could change but I hope not. Heck, who knows, maybe she's more devious than my sometimes niave brain can manage and that's why she's trying to move out of state with the kids claiming she has to relocate for her job.
