Perfect! "I think step families should be illegal" For the first time in my life, I'm not happy at all about free agency. Why couldn't the law save me from myself?! lol

I googled "dealing with step children" and this came up...and you know what?? Disengaging works for me too!! The kids can take me or leave me now and 3 years ago they were all up in my grill...now they pretty much leave me alone. I kinda feel bad for not reciprocating their affection but now its like we all make our own decisions and nothing is forced...I hated being someone that i wasnt and telling them i loved them back when they told me...but the oldest one was 6 and loved that i was "prettier and fancier" than her mom...Now she is older and more mature and I'm glad that she is "REAL"....She needs her BM. Not me...And for that I am fine with it...

I googled something along the lines of " being a step parent sucks" and voila. I found paradise.

I had banned my SD from my home 3 weeks earlier and things were strained. I was using the computer and just happened to type into google I hate my stepdaughter because I was angry as hell. Got a shock when this site popped up. But in staying on it, I soon discovered not only was I not alone, but I WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG. Funny because for 8 years my DH had been blaming it all on me.

I googled "boyfriend's daughter causing problems" - yep, here I am! I love it here. DH and I are now married and SD14 is still a big shit, but at least she isn't visiting anymore!

I felt guilty for very quickly and loudly saying, "Absolutely not!" when my husband told me that SD21 asked him if she, her husband, and their 2 kids could "stay" with us.

So, I probably googled "adult step-daughter wants to move in" or something like that.

I believe this was back in May and she claimed it would only be for a couple of weeks. Ha, they are still living with her father-in-law.

It was when bm really started to get crazy on fdh. fdh and bm broke up when fss was 3 mo. old... fss was born in july and she demanded to go out on halloween (3months after giving birth) and she slept with someone else, classy, right? long story short, they broke up and never got back together. Suddenly when we start dating she decides that she wants to be with him and the crazy began, Thus I was desperate to find info on how to deal with this situation. Thankfully bm is a total coward and has never got cray cray with me personally but she likes to be an ass with fdh.

Some people post posts from here on their facebooks pages and say "look at these psychos posting about how much they hate their stepkids". That is how I found it.

I actually found this site 8 years ago, while looking on the internet for suggestions on how to handle my OWN stepmother at the time (she is long gone now). I found so many friends here, I never left.
