SD's - something I've noticed

Seems quite a few of us 'used to get along' with the SD's in our relationships. however, magically it all goes wrong.

Is it always the BM that 'turns' them or is it a multitude of issues? Funny how one of my SD's who I used to get on just fine with started spouting the very same lines as her delightful mother. . . as did DH's SIL . . . gone to the dark side I say Smile heh heh.

Any theories on this one???

They passed their lovely DNA on to their daughters. I only have one SS that is 3... but BM is raising him to be such a sissy- I am sure I will have the same issues when he gets older. Only I won't be able to blame it on PMS once a month. Bummer...

My thoughts exactly! Except I haven't had the chance to get along with SD but she does say some very mature things. But of course she didn't get them from the BM! Yeah right. I wish more mothers were aware of what they say to their children. I was so blessed to be raised by my mom. My dad left her with four children and barely paid a cent for the last 18 years. But she still, to this day, won't say one bad word about him to us because she knows we should make up our own minds! Do these parents really think they are doing the kids a favor by badmouthing the other parent in front of them?!

I think there may also be the complication that you are in their eyes the 'other woman' in daddy's life. The old green eyes come out and of course BM has already primed them about what home wreckers we all are so the SD is probably poisoned from the start!

The teenage girls are the worst and I think maybe it is because as they become hormonal they fell daddy dumped them,it is your fault and you are in THEIR way. Just a thought.
