What would yall do?

So my husband will have court soon to go over a matter of returning the child two days before school starts on a major holiday, and it is only on this specific holiday no other holiday. The other parties defense is "it is to get back into the school routine". My husband can just bite the tongue and let them have it or go to court and see what the court says. He already doesn't see the child a lot ( like one weekend out of the whole month/each month). my question to ya'll is what would ya'll do if you were in his shoes? ( They alternate holidays odd and even years)

Is there a CO in place? Why does he only see the child one weekend a month?

Is the BM willing to give him more time to make up for those two days?

Seems like such a waste, going to court over 2 days.

The child lives 5 hours away but they meet half way (sorta). That is why it is only one weekend each month. We used to do every other weekend but it was getting pricey on gas and takes so long. Changed it to once a month with extra day either Thursday thru Sunday or Friday thru Monday, whenever possible. Plus solid month in summer and after that we get her spring and winter break and we trade off every holiday every other year. Its worked out pretty well, we dont get her as often but we get her longer when we do have her, so its about the same amount of time with her. We are already going to court for the mediation agreement, they just tried to throw a few last minute changes into the agreement in there favor.
