Falling to pieces

aabowman's picture

I have a three year old daughter and my fiance has a DD age 7 and DS age 6, who we obtained custody of a year ago. Things have not been easy and I am getting to the end of my rope. His DD and DS had no idea what manners were when I met them and I have always been on my DD butt about manners. His DD dont really have a relationship and it bothers me. She has no respect for me, ignores me when I talk to her and quite frankly I am sick of it. I have had many discussions with my fiance about this and he makes excuses. He refuses to create a united front with me when it comes to disciplining the children and is always the first one to point out what my DD has done in the past. Im over his mental scoreboard on the kids and im sick of being disrespect. Do I walk away before its too late :?

Run far, run fast. It's been a year since you've had custody. This is the kind of parent and partner he is, it's not going to change, and you can do better. Not to mention you are too young for this crap; it will make you feel old, tired, and bitter quick.
