OT - Thankful/Thirsty Thursday

Happy Friday Eve, STalkers! I don't know about you, but this has been a week of Mondays. Blech! It's chaos out there and I've been reading waaaaaay too much news (cue insomnia as my mind goes into overdrive) so today I'm concentrating on some basics that are all too often taken for granted. I am thankful for:

Happy Thursday, STalkers! We're one day closer to the weekend and I've been thinking about lemonade all week. We're going fishing this weekend. Well, DH is fishing. I'll have my nose stuck in a book. Biggrin

Anyhoo, we're pic-a-nicking and that's why I've been in lemonade mode. Here are 3 recipes I'm considering.

It's Friday Eve, STalkers! Only <insert number> cups of coffee until the weekend begins! Or tea. Or whatever beverage floats your boat.

What fulfills your Thirsty? It's a balmy 11 degrees outside (Real Feel of 1 degree). Days like this make me want to throw on fleece pants and shirt and some thick socks and curl up under a fuzzy blanket with a big, hot, steaming mug of something yummy to warm up the evil in me. *diablo*

Plenty of people have been looking forward to Spring - this is day 2! For many, it's a time to do yard cleanup from Winter, raking up twigs, clearing dead plants from flower/veggie gardens in preparation of new planting.

I don't know about you, but yardwork makes me THIRSTY. I'm sure many of you have heard of dandelion wine (and cooking the greens). Have you ever heard of Violet Lemonade? Yes, lemonade! We are not talking about African violets - completely different plant family - but wild violets that grow everywhere.

Or should I say Monday 4.0? Gaaaaaah... This has been one helluva week and I need a mental escape!

Let's expand on Thirsty Thursday...

WHERE would you like to be - any place in the world
WHEN - any time of year.
WHO would you like to be with
WHAT would you like to be drinking - coffee, tea, alco-bev, water, exotic cocktail?

Yes, it's 12 degress outside (feels colder!). Yes, there is a foot and a half of snow on the ground. I don't care. I want a milkshake.

That's right. An ice creamy, ice cold, brainfreezing milkshake. I eat soup in Summer, so why not have a milkshake (or ice cream) in Winter?

Fruity, boozy, or simple, there's something about a milkshake that makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. Maybe it's the memory of my grandpa taking me for my first shake. Or Mom always having vanilla ice cream for us to make root beer floats or milkshakes at home.

Hey, STalkers! Many of us are moving into cooler temps and snow (already have plenty here). A lovely way to warm up is a tasty cup of hot chocolate. Please share a favorite recipe! My sister's recipe is "Buy Swiss Miss with marshmallows. Eat the marshmallows, THEN make the hot chocolate."

Here's mine for Black Cherry Bourbon Hot Chocolate.

It's Thursday and we're one day closer to the weekend! Well, closer for those of who don't work Saturday/Sunday.

It's a fresh 42 degrees Give rose outside with a breeze and it makes me think of snuggling up on the couch with my hubby, legs covered with a soft afghan, and a mug filled with steaming mulled cider.
