DH Birthday week

Hello Steppers, been a while.

DH and I took our annual vacation the last 2 weeks of November. We didnt take any trips as we did not have a trusted dog sitter, but did make the Eagles game - they won - Barely LOL.

DH's birthday is the first week of December and unfortunately, our beloved fur baby passed the Tuesday before.

Our baby just turned 15 in September and he just slowed down the last 2 weeks.  It has been a hard week for both of us.  We as a family have been thru some hard times, but this has been the worst.

Well the wedding was just beautiful at sunset on the river.

I had the ages of the kids wrong.  SD7 and SS4

SS4 from what we can gather is on the autistic spectrum with maybe a side of tourettes.  The things that came out of the little boys mouth would send my mother in a tizzy.  He was picking up rocks and throwing them at us during the ceremony.

She was so graceful and just kept showing him love and patience. Her new DH would just run the other way.

A friend of mine daughter is getting married tonight.  I love that it is on a Tuesday and DH and I gladly took the day off tomorrow to go tubing without having a crowd a shoobies on the river.

Anyway, her DH has 2 young ones.  9SS and 7SD.  From what her mother has told me, the kids listen to her, but he is your typical disney dad and their BM, tho not HCBM for now, doesnt really discipline them.

UPDATE:  This weekend my dog thought he was in a grocery store LOL

We fed him anything we ate withouth the toxic stuff.  If he turned his head, it was an obvious no and we moved on. 

His favorite of the weekend?  Dry cat food.  The cat was not really happy but I do have a pic of them sharing the food from the dog bowl.  

I cant wait to make the pizza.  I am sure he will enjoy it.

Short day today and 3 day weekend for this gal.  

I am wishing you all a Merry Christmas without tears or stress.  Wine helps *biggrin*

This year it will just be my mom, DH and myself for the early dinner.  SS20 will be here about 7 for his gift grab.  DH is royally pissed off at SS24.  I have to say, I myself am pissed but more disappointed than anything.  

Can I breathe now?

It has been a long time posting.  If you remember, if not blogs should be there, my SS20 moved back in in February.  I cried until May since I knew that all the ground rules we laid down would last a few weeks and then back to his normal mopey, ignoring, not caring, not helping, not working, etc self come thru.

A very Merry Christmas!  

I am a lucky on to get done early today and off all day tomorrow. 

We have a quiet Christmas this year.  My mom is coming along with SS23 and SS19 with his GF.  Since SS19 needs to be told to be anywhere 2 hours in advance for him to be on time, I am just going to cook and have everything ready by noon and they can come when and if they want.  For SS19 it's a gift grab anyway.  Sorry kiddo, you literally just got socks and underwear to open.
