A better kind of Ring - Clove update 7/25/2025

Good morning my friends.

I'm alive and well.

I went home yesterday at lunch to set up my Ring camera system and found out the schedule wasnt set right and was without actual cameras it was ONLY the installation. Canceled that and set it for Saturday morning. Will buy cameras today.

Getting some tough love talks here and IRL with a friend and my Mother. The temporary restraining order was accepted 7/23 and I hired a process server - a guy, 6'4" and very nice. Said that he "gets these feelings" and then finds people. Some drama happened that night whereby wasband is trying to screw people out of money so they are serving him too. We piggy backed to simultaneous serve.

Instead of wallowing because I couldnt get my Rings installed I forced myself to research divorce attorneys in my area and spent the hours calling and talking and making notes. 3 couldnt take me because they already had too many cases, but listened and gave advice. I left 3 messages. 1 called me back, and we talked for over an hour.

Result - HIRED!

I now have a divorce attorney. He would not describe himself as a pitbull, and when I asked, he just said he does things well and right and will fight for me directly as well as strongly, but doesnt bully anyone and doesnt get nasty and rude (sorry pit bull owners!). He will not only handle the divorce but will also help with my restraining order hearing. And while we talked he also mentioned that while he normally starts with 10,000 retainers he will give me a little break and start with 5,000. My parents are helping with money.

Alive and truly well today. The business end of things is getting up and running. Im stuffing down the emotional side. Im taking care of myself, eating well and sleeping (and not drinking). Ill post more later.

How about pressing charges for his attempt to murder you? Are those actually filed or is there only a report from when you went to the LEO station to report it?

Make no mistake, what so often is brushed over as domestic violence is in your case, attempted murder. Rip off his nads, staple them to his forehead, and press charges. Stop at nothing to get his ass convicted and sent to prison where he belongs. File every possible charge associated with his attempt to unalive you.

I am thrilled to see your ire starting to trump your feelings and emotions. Deal with those, absolutely. Embrace the grief, emotions, and feelings. Just do not let them stop of delay taking assertive immediate action. Do not let the grief/emotion processes bury defending and protecting yourself to the fullest extreme in order to end this violent asshat and the threat he is to your life, well-being, and happiness.

This is the most dangerous period. I am hoping that he is calm and cool now, especially since we havent been living together, and its been almost a full week as it happened Friday night into Saturday morning.

Yep. Coming and going from your home or work are probably the most dangerous times, since he knows where you will be and likely when. Check all your doors and windows and make sure they are locked. Wouldn't hurt to get some pepper spray or a taser/stun gun.

I would go the lethal weapon route myself. Licensed of course.

Train with a professional coach. Take active shooter and threat elemination training. Always carry. Even in the home.

This guy is an attempted murderer and should get zero quarter or consideration for his life at the first pico-second he represents an immediate threat.

At the very least go with a less lethal/non lethal kinetic projectile self defense device. Effective and apparently legal in all 50 States.

Sure, hope that he will defy his shit character and POS existence. However, do not waste your time on that hope and for damned sure do not reduce your diligence and push to put him in prison and destroy him to eviscerate his ability to be a threat to you.
