Hello! I am seeking advice regarding building a healthy relationship with my girlfriend's 11-year-old daughter. My girlfriend and I are in a fairly new, but serious relationship. Her daughter has never been kind to me despite my extending kindness and love toward her. She flips me off, gives me dirty looks, sits between her mother and me in anger, and talks about me as if I am not in the room. I understand the daughter has been through quite a lot this past year (mom came out as a lesbian - yes, this is a same-sex relationship).
