A Gentle Reminder
No one died and made me the grammer/punctuation police, but we're overdue for that pesky reminder to please remember to use paragraphs when creating content.
Trying to sort through a wall of print is hard on the eyes, and some members will just scroll on by without even trying to read such a post.
While it's true that this is a venting site, posters will get more/better support and feedback if their posts are in a coherent, reader-friendly format.

Thoughts on Robert De Niro's new baby.
Wow, selfish much? He's SEVENTY-NINE! As someone who had an older father (dad was sixty-five, mom thirty-two when I was born), I'm just disgusted by this and how the media is pretending this is a good thing.
I won't go into the litany of negative experiences I had and things I missed out on, but I pity that baby. Yes, she'll presumably have money, but she'll also have to experience the trauma of losing a parent at a tender age. That leaves an indelible mark.

Fathers Day is this Sunday
in the US. Rags, I hope you have a lovely day. As for the rest of us, may your weekend be issue free and your liquor cabinet well stocked.
Let the games begin!

Some Sobering Stats About Fathers In The US.
If you want to learn about how fathers are discriminated against and marginalized in the US, just ask a stepmom.
Those of us who've supported partners as they fought to stay in their children's lives can tell you just how biased the Family Court system is against dads - and how lenient it is with moms.
Here's a link to a TED talk from a female attorney who specializes in father's rights. She does a great job of showing why kids need their dads, and why custody laws need reform.

The Need For Honest Labels in Steplife
For those who don't know my story, a long time ago I married a man with not one, but two BMs. There was constant drama and crises, and I became a doormat martyr, bending over backwards for everyone.

A Better Family Court System?
Interesting Psychology Today article about The Isreali Family Court system. We all know the US Family Court system is broken, based on capitalism (pay, pay, and pay some more), and huuuge compared to Israel, but there has to be a better way.

Time to Take Daaady Out of the Closet
Background: DH is a complete non-parent and avoids his FOO. For over a decade, I facilitated all those relationships for him, including being a custodial SM to emotionally damaged teen YSD. I was his human shield, the bad guy then, and still am for disengaging.
We have had no relationship with McCrazy YSD30+ for many years (since she "ran away" at 19, 3 days before Christmas). DH's choice. She's made zero effort to reunify or take any ownership for her behavior, continued to lie and scapegoat us, and has shown not one iota of concern for her father...
