FIRST INTERACTION WITH BM

Reading all your posts I often think of how far I have come with all the BM SS11 drama. Some posts make me reminisce of the similar problems I had and some post (those who have been with S0 for over 10 years) make me afraid because I am always looking for things to get better. Today I thought and decided to share in my experience of my first interaction with BM. Feel free to post your first interaction. I hate my SS11 BM. When we first met I figured we would never get along. I think it’s because of our strong personalities.

When I have problems with my SS11 and BM I usually try and see if my decision is something conveniant to me or if it is in fact the right thing to do. I have the priviledge of being both a BM and a Stepmom. I wear both shoes, so when I feel that maybe I am being unreasonable about BM I analyze if I do her actions as a BM and do I think I am right when I do it?

VACATION AND STEPSON

Vacation is something I always look forward to. I love going to a new place and I always take my BS14 and BS05. My DH doesn't feel the same way, he feels it's a waste of money (he has a much tougher money situation). One year he had no money to go so I basically paid for the trip. Obviously if I paid there was no question on if he can bring SS11. Last year we could not go because we were getting married, funds were limited so no vacation was taken. This year I plan on going to Virgine Islands. We are all excited. My fear is that he tries to bring in SS11.

STEPSON SETS A BAD EXAMPLE FOR BIOLOGICAL SON

My SS11 only comes to our house every other weekend, and even though it's not that often I often dread it because me and him just have not bonded. He has basically been raised as an only child and is basically the golden child of my DH family (my inlaws). Anytime we are at my inlaws he acts completely different with me as if telling me, "I am the boss here", and his attitude and demeanor are completely different.

I find my stepson to be so obnoxious. Me and his mother can not get along and thankfully I have zero interaction with her. My DH pays CS and she still texts and emails him that he HAS to pay for a sport, shoes, haircuts, or anything else my stepson my need. I thought that was what Child Support was for?
