So, I'm new at this and ever though I'm not a stepmother I'm with a man who has a daughter. Him and his ex had a baby when they were young and he hasn't been able to see her because BM won't let him. I told him to text her and call her to try to talk about letting him see her a certain number of hours a week (he doens't have a set day off at work so certain days wouldn't work) she hasn't been responding to anything.
