I am still pretty freaked. We live in the same town, and this particular market is right by her apartment. I had to run out during rush hour to get stuff we needed to make dinner, and didn't want to go all the way across town in the traffic. I was there by myself, and she saw me first - I was scanning the signs at the top of the aisles trying to figure out where they keep the QTips (while I was there for the dinner stuff, why not pick up the necessities - y'all know about multitasking being SMoms, I'm sure!). Not to say I would have run out of there if I saw her first, but for simplicity's sake I probably would have tried to keep us from running into each other.

She came right up to me, said hello, how are you, and kissed me on the cheek. (To be clear, a kiss on the cheek is a pretty standard greeting in our latino community, so it wasn't excessive.) We exchanged a few words (still tough, because we literally speak different languages) and each went on our way. No drama.

Maybe she was nice because I was nice to her when we all went to the police station. Since she and SO fought last Friday I figured we weren't on good terms anymore. She's always been very up and down with him - but *always* negative towards me. I wouldn't have been surprised at a nod hello, but I was quite surprised she was more friendly than that.

I guess it's a lot better than a fight and a scene.

How incredibly weird though.
