So.. Our attorney mailed us a copy of the Guardian Ad Litem's report that was submitted to the judge..

Her recommendation is that DH should have full custody of SS5 and that BM is incapable of addressing his educational/developmental needs at this time.

Has anyone been through this?

How much weight does the guardian's report hold in court?

We do want him. This child has gone though enough neglect and hardship from BM. We don't know if DH will still have to pay, I wouldn't think so. BM is currently without a job "again" and remains on government assist. I would be satisfied with DH not having to pay her anymore.

The GAL was assigned because it was either a GAL or mediation, and we were given a choice. Our attorney directed us toward a GAL, as it's almost impossible to mediate with BM.
