It’s been awhile (vent)

Honestly feel like this is the only safe place I can confidently and confidentially vent out my woes as a stepmom. I've tried multiple resources like my therapist, in-laws, other stepparent support groups- and it seems like nothing is really helping like I'd hoped and I end up feeling judged and unheard for the most part.

Disrespectful stepchild

My stepchild is extremely disrespectful and manipulative. I don't know if it's just me but I get emotionally and mentally exhausted when people act like a child can't manipulate their situation and like they don't understand how to be cruel. He constantly mocks and makes fun of me for trying to enforce boundaries and basic house rules and almost always gets off Scott free from his dad.

Stumped and spent

Good evening everyone, to be honest I have no clue where to begin here- however I guess I could start with I feel as if I've reached a breaking point and need advice from others with more stepparent know-how on how to potentially navigate my situation. I have a biological child under one, who I'm trying my best to raise well and with good values, moral, and self-assurance. The issue I'm really facing currently is trying to handle my 6 year old stepchild- who has extreme behavioral issues and some form of undiagnosed mental disability.
