My SD beat up her father.......and he wonders why I don't like her......
My SD is 17 and she beat up her dad in front of our 6 year old son. She wouldn't stop. She kept attacking him. I wish desperately I was there to get my son away from the fight. He was trying to restrain her but she still didn't stop. He had to call the cops. Funny thing, she went to go and stay with her mom, who of course blamed it on my husband. She has had to take no accountability for her actions and is demanding an apology from my husband. Of course, he forgave her right away. She is now making up lies about me, prob cause she is jealous I am with her "daddy" right now and she isn't.
Can't stop obsessing......
Ugh. Need help. I keep obsessing on all of the dysfunctional things between my DH and SD17. It's crazy. Any advice to let it go? I have tried talking to my DH, ignoring it, having a drink to calm my nerves. Every little thing bothers me and it makes it really hard for me to like either one of them.

17 this week and still wants to hold her dad's hand in public. Are you kidding me?
It never ends. She truely wanted to hold her dad's hand out in public at Home Depot. Saying, "daddy, please hold my hand." After he says no way she is actually wondering why he said that.
Can you say mental issues? I can't take this anymore.
Beer or margarita? the only solution I can think of.......
Is the only solution a nice cold beer or margarita? Is this the only way to cope? It seems like being a stepparent you really can't win, so why not have a cold one?
Don't make me choose....blah blah blah
Ugh! I hate when you bring up an issue that affects the entire family but DH is unwilling to compromise or come up with a solution (granted only solution he has it to let SD continue with her negative behaviors and that I just have to deal with it). When I bring up that I continue to be upset about it since I feel I have to just "swallow it all" then he uses, "well don't make me choose, you know I will choose my daughter." Ya, I know dumba$$ and I never said that...........somehow that is all he hears.

Ugh, when my SD says "daddy" in her 7 year old tone (granted she is 17) and when he calls her princess, makes my skin crawl!!!!
Anything they say that makes your skin crawl?

Cheerleader.....really......part 2!
Well, found out today that SD can FAIL two classes and still be on the Cheerleader team. Are you frickin kidding me? If she fails one, she can still cheer, if two, then she has to sit out. Wow, must be rough......so she can get D- across the board and still cheer! Way to go school. My DH told her cheer coach today that it was HIS fault as to why she has missed all of her practices. I am going to explode!!!!!! She has not made one attempt this summer to go. AND, he dished out $500 today and there is more. Once again, MUST BE NICE TO BE HER!

Cheerleader..........really..............
UGH! My SD just failed a couple of classes this last semester. My DH TOLD her if she failed any classes he would not let her continue with cheerleading for high school. Funny, he ends up letting her continue, even with her grades and on top of that he has to pay out almost $900 for her cheer. Plus, she is supposed to do cheer camp, workouts, etc this summer and she has not gone to any one of them. She didn't go to her cheer camp because she didn't have "a ride home" at 9 am. She didn't want to walk 10 min home. She missed all 5 days. So what does he do, NOTHING.

it would be nice if they could help around the house. seriously.............
Really, my five year old little boy does more chores around our house than my SD (who is 17)does. Ugh.........my DH says she is "just not going to do them." Wow! What a solution huh??? glad to know she is 17 and do whatever the hell she wants. Must be nice to be her.
I especially loves when she sits there and watches me clean all day.
