MY VDay is sucking right now.

He's with SS9m at MIL's. I got up at 7a to go to my clinicals (in nursing school now, graduating in 2 yrs). Made the pancake mix before going to the clinicals (since BF will actually spend money if I don't make him the mix), got out at 12p instead of 3p, and where do you think he was? I know that we're strapped for cash right now, but why is it that whether I'm strapped for cash or not, I always manage to get him a little something, whether it's a holiday or not? Granted, I told him he didn't have to go through changes just to get me a gift, because I know times are tough, but at least some damn flowers? Or some time? He's taking SS9 back to BM at 6pm, and I'm about to start cooking dinner now, but overall, my day was pretty crappy. I told him I was missing him and felt a little sad that we didn't do anything today, and he goes "I have SS9, and he wants to be here (at MIL's) what do you want me to do?" Ummmmm, tell him that we'll all spend time together, I don't know? I'll smile about it later though after I hit up the liquor store, lol. No classes tomorrow, and didn't do anything else this weekend, so why not? I'm thinking some E&J cask and cream, from me to me.....have a great Vday ST, even if it sucks!!!

You guys need to put yourselves first!!! Your relationship is more important then what SS "wants" (big difference then "needs")
Is he going to be ready to hang out with you at 3pm? Thats when you were supposed to be done right? Or is he going to ignore you? Is this a trend? (Don't get angry, it won't help, try to talk to him about your feelings.

No, this is not a trend, I actually think he may be using SS9 as an excuse for avoiding me b/c I think he feels bad that he didn't get me anything for today....He said he'll be here after he drops him off at BM's, so he'll be here at about 6:20p. I'm not going to get angry with him, because to some extent, I get it: he lost his job last year and has not been able to find "suitable" work since, and this will be the first Vday he hasn't gotten me anything (in 10 yrs), but like I said, I make sacrifices to make sure that I get him a gift, job or not. I guess I just expect too much? Idk, but thank goodness for ST....

And I do understand what you're saying. He could have wrote you a letter or something. Make a point of it. I understand!

I didn't see that I was explaining his actions away and you know what? You are absolutely right, he definitely could have done better for me. Damn, at least he could've given me some time....and thank you, the day is definitely better, thanks to E&J. Wink

I've been at work all day and everytime I call SO he's to busy playing with SD to talk.

aye Dios mio!!! that IS hilarious. I've been trying to work up the nerve to get myself 'the rabbit', but I'm afraid it'll be found. Not unless I keep it in my gym bag in the trunk of the car.....

Lucky me also will be spending time with my "little friend", Valentines day what a wonderful day! My husband is working and earlier today my ss17 decided to cause problems - so his father is upset with me. So, my husband is off to work for his 3 shift job. I should go back a little, my husband annouced that he would not be buying anything for Valentines day like we have done for the past seven years, reason none. So, he purchased a funny card or at least he thinks it was funny and that's that, throw into the mix a ss who decides to cause problems.

So chin up you are not the only one - we are all in a similar boat.
