SS has COVID
We just found out that SS has covid. It came from his stepdad, who was covid+ since the week-end. He and BM decided to not send kids to school (SS and their 3yo) but didn't judged necessary to isolate the stepdad.
Result is : they ALL have COVID and SS is bad.
SS is overweighted and has a chronic asthmatic bronchitis. For the story, it was DS doctor who diagnosed SS (edit : asthmatic bronchitis, not COVID, SS has been diagnosed COVID+ with BM after 4 days face to face with stepdad + ) after a long stay at MIL where she was trying to cure him with plants. Plus, BM never send him to doctor, and wait for us to do so (which i obviously do as he is ALWAYS sick when he comes to visit).
I'm really worried about SS. He has a terrible headache since 24h, a bad cough and fever. I hope he will be fine very soon. DH is infuriated because he wanted him to be vaccinated, but BM is agaist (she wanted to wait untill the summer...).
Let's hope he will be ok really soon !

What on earth was the point
What on earth was the point in waiting until summer? Is her brain functional? Good grief, we have 300 000 cases per day and she wanted to WAIT?! As for you MIL... Does she even understand that she put your child seriously at risk. And why TF don't either of them believe in doctors?! Your SS is overweight and has health issues which puts him in an at-risk group.
I am angry for you. I am angry about their negligence. Your DH is right to be furious. I sincerely hope that your SS gets better really soon.

DS doctor has diagnosed SS chronic bronchitis last spring, not COVID, my first post was not clear i just edited it.
Why was she waiting for summer ? I don't know ?! Crazyness ? Stupidity ? Both of it ? Must be both ! DH told her multiple times that he wanted SS to be vaccined. BM always answered "ok, i have your point, let's wait until this summer".
I'm 100% sure she think DH wants to vaccine SS just to protect our DS. Now she is worried, she should be ashamed !
As for my MIL, she tried to cure bronchitis with plants. Of course she didn't even think about bringing SS to the doctor... it could have been COVID by the way, but nooo it was just a little cold ....
in DH's and BM's families, i'm called "the crazy doctor lady"...
The result is SS is sick, and told DH to the phone "you are so lucky to not have it", poor him, i feel so sorry for him.

So sorry to hear this, we had two students pass from Covid here, one of them lingered in a coma for almost a month, so tragic for the families involved. I hope your SS is able to get proper medical care and get on the road to recovery. Just beware there could be lingering side effects, my BD gets horrible muscle cramps out of no where after having covid and she was vaxxed.

About SS proper medical care, i really doubt... BM neglects her children health so badly, i'm worried about him.

We have news from BM. SS is extremely tired, he has violent headache and bad cough, plus he has fever since 48h from now.

Can your DH get their family doctor to do a house visit and tell bm that he'll be going after her for neglect? What is this stupid woman waiting for, FFS?!
