7 yrs ago we rented a townhouse. Our cat hated the place and was forever trying to get outside. He hyperventilated the entire time. We had his litterbox in the basement and he started using the kids clothes because he didn't want to walk through an open door and go down there. Weird stuff happened. My s/sons alarm clock would turn on at 2am Sunday when they hadn't been there since the previous Wednesday and the alarm was never set to 2am. The fan would turn on in my daughter's room when she was staying overnight at a friends (no timer on it). DH had nightmares about a dark hooded character standing over him.

One night I went upstairs to put the towels away and as I stood at the top of the stairs I felt 2 hands push me down the stairs. I fell 3-4 steps before I caught myself. I went on downstairs (pretty quickly) and asked who had just been upstairs. DH, DD and s/sons were the only ones in the house and they were all in the living room. We only had one set of stairs. DH ran upstairs to check and no one was there.

When we bought a house and knew we were moving out crazier stuff happened like a hot rancid fat smell ... neighbours were away for the weekend. Lights flickering etc.

From time to time I smell my grandfather around. His garden always had this fresh earth scent and I catch it now and again. It happens to my sister as well and she lives on the other side of the world.

Your brothers friend knew it was 'time' for your brother to find the watch and move on maybe?

Lord this is my specialty, whether i want it or not! I'm an "intuitive", finally figured this out after much research. I mostly keep it to myself because 1. I'm Catholic and it's somewhat frowned upon in my church, unless you can speak tongues or prove a miracle, and 2. I don't want people to think I'm cray- cray! I've seen tons of ghosts, (spirits?), I can smell cancer on people and sense evil, I "see" spirits and auras around people. Ladies, we all have a guardian angel- believe that. When I encounter someone with an evil aura I get nauseous and weak in the knees. I also have guessed, and kept to myself obviously, when people are going to die, give or take a week. It seems like I can turn it "off and on", mostly I tune it out for my own sanity. Once I got my cards read when I was like 22- the guy quit after 2 cards and said, "you don't need me you already know all this stuff"!

When my daughter was an infant we heard a toy of hers being played with we checked and no one was in there. At least 6 people where there when it happened, and it went on for some time, but stopped as soon as any of us went to her room. Another time in the same place she was sitting in my lap babbling and clapping but facing my side only thing there was a door, then I felt warm and like I was getting a hug I felt a wash of love and my dd's dad (exH) said "there's someone standing over you." he described him and the look on his face was frozen as he spoke, my friend was sitting there as well and said she could see a "shimmer" next to me. The description exH gave me had me crying. When "it" left I ran and got into my old photo album and took it too him he said "yeah that's him" it was my grandfather who had died when I was little. exh had never seen a picture but had described him to a T. I will never doubt that spirits exist.

Like ctnmom, I too am somewhat of an "empath" or "intuitive". I see spirits and I can usually predict the future. My line of work takes me to many peoples' houses and if there happens to be a spirit, ghost, whatever,whether its human or animal it will manifest itself to me. As a child, I wouldn't let my mom leave for work because i saw her badly injured in her car, when she did leave, she narrowly escaped a side collision with a snowplow. More recently, I told DH that BM was gonna get pregnant again and that it would cause her and her husband to split up. 6 months later, we find out she's moving out b/c she's 2 months pregnant and the father is her supervisor at work!! I see my grandmother's spirit on a regular basis and recently I heard my fil who passed away in March say that he wants to be buried ( we have his ashes at our house ) Its a little freaky at times....

PetStr, years ago I did meals on wheels, I got soooo may vibes from those old peoples houses! Sometimes it was when I would make my way to the kitchen to put up the food, sometimes it would hit me like a ton of bricks as soon as I walked through the door. I got the feeling most of the time that it was "old souls" (the only words I can find for the feeling I'd get) waiting for these people to come over. I had two really creepy expieriences dilevering for MOW- too long to post here I'll tell if your interested PM me.

My mother in law passed away in the house that I live in now. She passed away in the living room, where I found her in her recliner. She of course, was at my wedding. I'm not sure what those things are called that have the flowers, that you clip to the shirts and dresses of the bridal party but when someone made my flowers for the wedding they made her and my mother one. She was really excited to have it, and she kept telling me how beautiful it was. When she passed away and we were looking through her stuff, to clean out the house, I found it. I decided to keep it so I set it on my bed side dresser.

Everything was fine for a few days after we moved in but one day when I came home from the grocery store, everybody else was gone, I found it laying in a chair. The chair it was laying in was in the same spot the chair was that she died in. I got chills when I picked it up, but put it back where I had it. Didn't say anything to anyone. In the middle of the night sometimes I will be awaken by someone calling my name. I actually sit up in bed and listen for a second, thinking it might be my daughter or stepdaughter calling for me. Every time that happens, when I wake up in the morning, the flower clip is sitting in the chair in the living room. I have never told anyone in the house about it, don't want to freak them out I guess, so I'm not really sure who would be moving it......
