Will SD actually go to college??? Stay tuned
what SO says and what gets done have always been two different things.

My last post outlined his plan. However, since going to graduation. NOTHING has happened. Do you know these people still haven't gotten her financial aid forms in. She still has no college applications in.
SO has no idea what he is doing. I am really not sure if I should stay disengaged or if I should tell him what to have her doing. I worry if I do nothing, I will be forced to deal with a dependent step kid forever! Will she even finish if I get things going and he forces her?? Who the hell knows. I say its 30/70 that she won't.
UGH.
Its the blind leading the blind. How is it that SS15 is so responsible and already knows where he wants to go to college???? Yet SD18 it sitting around working 20 hours a week not doing shit except talking??
When I move down with you dad.... When I start college....
You have to f*&%$* apply first, genius.
Really annoyed today.

Hellllooooooo FOXIE!!! You
Hellllooooooo FOXIE!!!
You know... this is probably what I'm going to have to do. I'm just nervous about a 30 year old SD with no career options, leeching off her dads money forever. UGH!
Same here. I just don't
Same here. I just don't relate at all. No one went to college in my family. I figured it out all by myself.
LOL homeroom
I would make a list and leave
I would make a list and leave it with DH and then step out of it. Do the minimum, this is on them. But, she should have applied already. It may be too late now for fall, unless it is community college.
They need to do the Fafsa upon acceptance. It is mandatory here, whether you get anything or not and let me tell you it is a PIA.
I gave DH links to colleges that may have taken SD and emailed them to him. It was on him to handle. That was when she was talking to us and ironically none of them accepted her 1.9 GPA. She did get into the only school that was basically a CC years ago that now has dorms.
I am sure BM has not done FAFSA, but that is not my problem. She needs DH income so I doubt she did anything.
Yes, I think it is pretty
Yes, I think it is pretty late besides community college. I think the state school in kentucky does have a rolling application deadline though. She MIGHT be able to apply. I told him she should just call and find out.
BM is worthless too. Although she said she thought SD should go to a tech school. I totally agree. You really did to the minimum. I'm really trying to stay out of it. I hate getting involved then getting burned. BUT I am not having a grown woman in my house later. He has already been told.
Yeah, maybe he'll get
Yeah, maybe he'll get disgusted faster with the "total immersion" method. You won't have much of a marriage after all is said and done, but I mean what have you (or many of us) got to lose? Personally I would LOVE it if biodad just ran off with one of his offspring!!! I would get some much needed peace and quiet!
I will be honest, I enjoy
I will be honest, I enjoy having him gone during the week. Its quiet with me and the baby. I keep our schedule and routine way better. and I don't have anyone sneaking extra large M&Ms to my one year old. SO got yelled at twice this weekend for feeding the baby shit while I was trying to get him to eat his dinner.
Then I told him off about how he's not doing crap to make his daughter get enrolled in school so she's probably not going.
In the past, "immersion" so to speak with his daughter has made him wise up. It may work this time too. I just can't tell which way it can go. either way, I'm fine by myself.
I'm so glad the skating
I'm so glad the skating worked out for him. I know how much he wanted that. Is his girlfriend moved in yet *eyeroll*
How are you doing Vick?
At what point do these men
At what point do these men just give up? I mean seriously they are so passive when the kids are growing, then they can't figure out what happened.
