Need to Vent - warning foul language, sorry!

Sorry just need to vent...

Dear DH,
You are an inept piece of shit. Why don't I want to sit and cuddle with you on the sofa? Oh perhaps it's because you can't make it three minutes without talking about your fucking ex wives, kids or child support!!! I say I'm tired of the control they have over you. What control you exclaim as you try not to look at the text rant from the bitch whore that couldn't keep her legs closed before, during or after your marriage - no DH, of course they have no control over you still. And you kids, the manipulative little shits that come to my house, treat me like a peasant maid stupid troll... Yeah, those kids. Oh, of course DH...no one can make you feel like a maid but your own head..

Hmmm...well I guess my highly educated brain is just fucking stoo-pid because I just can't wrap my mind around so much bullshit compacted into one little space - your mouth. But don't you worry. I bought v-day crap for your little assholes so they'd pretend to like me for at least one day of the year. Oh, and I got you a card and some wine. I drank the wine. All of it. I think the card is halfway to the water treatment plant by now with the goldfish we flushed last month. Oh yeah, in case I forgot. Go fuck yourself!

Love, the cunt step mom

Hi Sally, its a strange american thing. I blame commercialization as well as a kid-centric society. I'm from the uK where valentines day is for couples or prospective romantic couples. Here in the US, where I am now, kids send valentines to their whole class including their teachers as well as to their parents and parents send them to their kids. I find it very strange, but for everyone here it is the way things are done.

Not sure what I should do this weekend, I am watching SD7 on my own all day on valentines day as my husband is out of town until sunday. Not sure if I am expected to make/give her a valentine card or not, I know that she has started to make one for me. I might just explain to her how we do things differently where I am from and don't send valentines to kids.

That's odd - we don't do valentine's gifts for kids here as well - or so I thought. It's our wkdn with SD14 (she lives with us full-time only sees her BM EOW). So yay - I get to spend Valentine's Day at home with her hanging around - gloom and doom for me . I already saw DH had sneaked chocolates to give on Saturday presumably one is for me and one for her!! BARF! really you have to buy your daughter a Vday gift? I thought I was the only one who thought that ODD! But these DH's will never cease to amaze me with their stupidity.

Bawhahahaha...great vent! Get it all out sista!!!! And never apologize for strong language on a vent site.

So, did you save me any wine? Smile

Yep, except for some people who make Valentines Day a special day within their relationhip VD is pretty much a Hallmark Holiday in the US and about chintzy commercialism rather than romantic relationships. IMHO.

That is why I don't play the VD game. Instead I do the February romance thing on Ground Hogs day. Now GHD is a truly remarkable day where a fat sleepy rodent tells you if there is going to be 6 more weeks of winter or not. Something to celebrate with romantic energy for sure. My bride laughs her head off each year when the cards and a huge bouquet shows up at her office on GHD. Then we go out for a romantic dinner. For the actual VD I give her a little packet of candy hearts with the cheezy love sentiments stamped on them in Red Dye #5.

This is hilarious, as GHD also happens to be my birthday. I have a soft spot for that fat rodent!

Valentine's Day is for a couple, not kids. That is weird. We never did that. As for valentines in the school, that was up through elementary school.

I never realized how wierd it is to give your children, or neices, or nephews V-Day gifts. I have even given gifts to my SS13 in the past... EEWWWW!!!! LOL!! But given the American commercialized traditions (which I hate but participate in becuase you always look like a jerk if you don't...) I would like to mark the occassion and I think making a special breakfast is best way to go. We can all help out and it would be like give to everyone, from everyone. Good post and vent!!

Damn the kid centric society. It breeds narcissistic entitled little bastards that are going to be more self centered then the 80's babys

Tru!!!! (2Chainz Voice) I call my skid SS13 my wifes "boyfriend-son". This fool gets considered for everything. I can't even get a good cuddle session in without him wanting the other side. He really should have his own girlfriend but I have share mine with him. It also doesn't help that his birthday is THE DAY AFTER MINE so I already have to share that with him too because DW just says "I'll just do the both on the same day..." either on the closest weekend or his day. He can just have it!!!

Best two sentences of the vent. Besides, "Go fuck yourself."

Sorry he's suck a fuckhead.

I'm a little bit of neat freak so the "not cleaning..." thing has bothered me in the past. I have stopped asking SS13 to help out and stopped asking DW to make him help out. I get my revenge when he ask me to do/help/buy him something. I just point to his mom or the phone to call his dad. Its passive-agressive, I know and I'm sorry, but he is really, really smart kid and I am encouraged at the fact that he will be leaving for college in three and a half year hopefully in a far away land and we can live the life I want then.

I don't think it's a trend to get kids stuff for VD. I'm 47 nad my sister is 45. Our parents gave us cards, small boxes of candy and a little game or book each year for VD. We did/do the same with our kids.

I usually get my kids a little something for vday. They are now 13 and 9, so my son got a calendar (wall) and my daughter got a frozen cup. I already gave it to them. I do buy my daughter who is elementary school, the vday cards for her class. This year there is no candy to go with them though. The cards came with either bracelets or sticky bugs.

I have decided to take tomorrow off and drive 4 hours with our DD17mo to spend the long weekend with DH, who is out of town working. I will probably go on saturday and get him something while he's at the job site.

I use to look forward to Vday because it was a day for us 2 to get little tokens for each other. Last year I got a box of chocolate and a card, he also got a card for our DD, her first card. Yeah we are cheesy americans. I hope to go out to dinner honestly.
